I dont know...I dont really keep up to date with court cases and such. I just assumed that in the overly-PC times we live in today, that the judge would be afraid to upset her in any way, for fear of being called racist.

It is crazy really. These kind of stories keep popping up, it is not good.

Another Daily Mail biased story we're not given the full facts for! So we're all going to believe they were just having a religious discussion with no malicious intent are we?...yeh cos the Crown Prosecution take on waste of time cases all the time dont they?.I know some here will be all too willing to believe them though, especially when the victim happens to be muslim!...Yes more fuel for the fire eh?

Islam is not a race.

Tom4784 21-10-2009 02:58 PM

It's the Daily Mail so we obviously don't know all the facts, like Netto said they wouldn't be at the crown court if that was all that happened.

InOne 21-10-2009 03:01 PM

Still one of the thing people still like to sweep under the rug.

Still one of those people who call people a racist without knowing what it means.

oh...but all you see is the religious angle and NOT the fact that people have a right to to be yelled and screamed out by a nutter racist. oh another example of "PC gone mad" hey InOne? lol. you BNP membership card just got upgraded to master troll.

Actually, we are.

I was recieving threats from an exboyfriend and getting loads of trouble, and basically I was told nothing could be done about it. Why is this any different? How come this one case is classed as 'bad' enough for something to be done?

An arguement over religion, or death threats...which would you say is worse?

NettoSuperstar! 23-10-2009 08:00 AM

...and another thing I noticed, this "religious discussion" happened at breakfast...hmmm yes Im sure the poor woman wanted to discuss offensive remarks about her religion over her cornflakes! Also with a room full of other guests present...Im guessing those guests will be witnesses at the court case and the reason it got to court in the first place is because others can corroborate her story!!

Sorry to hear about that, you must have got a **** officer, the police do take these things seriously generally. I support a woman who was having threatening phone calls recently from an ex and they went and warned him not to contact her again or they would prosecute. So dont let it put you off reporting it again and dont get fobbed off, they have a duty to act on what you say.

BB_Eye 23-10-2009 12:48 PM

I've had the police turn me away before when I reported a death threat, which I can only assume violates the Public Order Act... and this is the kind of rubbish they're wasting their time with?
