Ok so I'm crap on the phone. I phoned Aer Lingus,when I finally got through to a person I could BARELY hear him. I don't think he had a clue what I was saying. He offered me taxback and I said Is there anyway of getting more back? And he was like 'Oh ring closer to the time so you can reinstate it' and I was like 'But I don't want to reinstate it!' And he said nothing for like 10 seconds so I hung up.

I'm gonna ring again tomorrow,see if I can get any further than that.

Just bump this. I rang Aer Lingus again today and got a really helpful girl. I got 24 euro back,with is basically everything but tax. But she told where the tax was going and even said it was a pity I didn't get Take That tickets,lol! 24 euro is better than nothing I suppose. But next tour,tickets first,then flights! Lesson learned.

Next time, just ask them what are the terms of your ticket, when you buy it. At least you will know, what to expect.
