The people who actually know me, would laugh, if they read your post! YOu think I am gonna post about MJ on a BB forum?? I only give respect to him with these banners because he recently dide. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Again, pop chart= Laughable joke.

What about after he died when 10 of his songs entered the top 40 and he had about 7 albums in the album chart? Were people sheep then or is it different?

Exactly, once again Ama's argument is hypocritical.

Of course they were! How else would you explain it? Its because its what in the news, big popstar died. People who were actually MJ fans, didnt have to go download his songs, when he died. They already had them. I havent even bought anything MJ since he died, apart from going to see his movie documentary.

So yeah, they were sheep then too! And?

Were the people who went to see the movie sheep? And were you complaining that those downloading his songs were sheep?

All I'm trying to say its a tad hypocritical if you're going to accuse some people of being sheep for downloading songs from XF yet you don't mind if its MJ songs/movie.

It was obvious that it was gonna happen with MJ, just the same as its obvious the xfactor craap performances are #1. How is it hyporitical.
The movie, This is it, is never before seen footage, from his concert rehearsals, which people already got tickets to go see, and was already a huge upcoming event, before he died. Nothing wrong with that. Even if he didnt die, it would still be a big movie. Not as big obviously, but the fans would still go watch that.

Although i lovee BEP's song i would like JLS or N-dubz to be number 1.

Shaun 10-11-2009 07:18 PM

the comparison to the Michael Jackson hysteria's a bit of a loose one, really. The death of one of the greatest ever popstars, and a controversial public figure, was always going to boost public interest in his music and other exploits.

It's not really fair to compare it to "whatever performs on The X Factor will be #1 or a contender".

Wildcat! 10-11-2009 07:19 PM

Dont worry about it! People just dont want to accept, that they are actually lead by the nose, and don't really have their own musical taste these days. Plain and simple.

Zac 10-11-2009 07:23 PM

Bad Romance.

:conf: I really don't get this kind of attitude towards pop music. Pop, meaning popular, if you don't like it then don't get on a high horse and act as if your choice in music is somehow better than somebody who enjoys pop music?!

CaraRawr 10-11-2009 08:16 PM

Everybody in Love, TiK ToK or Bad Romance.

If Leona is number 1 this week.

Then X Factor Finalists the week after.

That'll be 5.

MarkWaldorf 10-11-2009 08:26 PM

Leona. Most deserving of them all and it's a fantastic song.

Its hypocritical because in June/July you weren't saying "people who download MJ are sheep" and you haven't been saying that a lot of those who are seeing the film will be sheep. And arguably, a lot of people who bought tickets were sheep because of the media interest. His true fans would have supported him right the way through his career- something which clearly didn't happen with his single sales (and even compilation albums) towards the end or his career (I'm talking before the concert and his death).
