i can see this season being very deep

usually the first fight is about who ****ed who.

ILoveTRW 01-01-2010 02:30 AM

you can watch the first part of the first episode here

I don't think this season will be as great as Cancun, but it will be interesting because the dynamic of drama is different. Fights about religion and politics are going to happen which I think is interesting because it's something that hasn't really been discussed on the show before to this extent.

ILoveTRW 01-01-2010 07:05 PM

it was so funny when Erika was just outside the house waiting to come in and then someone inside shouted, "its a lesbian, I knew it"

Now that was a masterclass in The Hill's school of acting  It was too perfectly framed and why did no one (not even on the production staff) help him before he fell? It's MTV's job to keep the castmates safe and since no one came to the man's aid before he was thrown off the edge when there was more then enough of a gap in time to stop it, then the man could clean out MTV in a court case....if it was real. Parts of the Real World might be real but that clearly wasn't otherwise MTV would have a big lawsuit on their hands for failnig to protect it's castmates. Plus look at the man if he landed how he did he'd have some marks on his side of his face that was showing in the preview part, since if my angles are right that was the side that was down on the pavement. Plus the reaction shots were too perfectly framed for them to be spontaneous.

I haven't come here to argue I was just intrigued by the title and watched the clip and posted my thoughts.

well it seems real to me, tbh the production staff probably thought they were messing around and you actually see emily just about to stop it before he gets pushed

There'd have to be crew close by who could have seen what was going on since they wouldn't risk anything like this happening for real since MTV would be liable for any accidents due to them letting it happen. There were Cameramen and lighting engineers there at least so it would have been hard for MTV to have misunderstood the situation. If it wasn't a staged incident then MTV would have broke it up instantly since there would have been security and such on sight, especially if there's alcohol to prevent incidents liek this taking place. I can't believe it's real since MTV would lose millions in the following lawsuit AND they wouldn't have shown it on TV as it would have been proof of their negligence.

That's from what I could tell anyway, for shows like this there's always a lot of personnel very near to prevent the production company for being liable for any unplanned incidents.

King Gizzard 26-02-2010 12:28 AM

it wouldnt of been showed, hed be banged up by now, probably fell onto a cushion

at the end of the day i know it is real, the housemates probably sign documents saying that mtv is not liable for there injuries
the real world is not like bb, producers only step in then the first punch is thrown

They wouldn't be able to sign away their rights like that, MTV have the responsibility of care for the housemates. It's pretty much impossible for this situation to have happened if it wasn't staged since MTV wouldn't have risked the payout.

If the fight was as serious as they made it out to be then they wouldn't have shown it or mentioned it in any form and it wouldn't have gotten that serious since MTV would STILL be liable for any harm. It was probably staged, it's the quiet moments that are most likely real and the big fights and stuff are staged for ratings. After seeing the picture of the house that fall was DEFINITELY staged, considering his position on the floor in the video and the height he'd have a lot more markings, dirt and cuts on his face then he did.

The picture's done nothing but improve the chances of that incident being staged, it was theoretically impossible before but now it's impossible. The crew would have got involved since it could have potentially led to MTV being brought into a Attempted Murder/Murder/GBH case.

If that other clip was real then MTV would have stepped in long before anyone was in such a state that their bloody handprints were on the walls. Believe the fights are real if you want but it's basically impossible without MTV being liable for the HM's safety.
