I'm actually quite fond of them doing this.

It's called emancipation from the oppression that women have faced for centuries in our society and I don't begrudge them the odd libation after what they've had to endure off us.

Yes, but there is no point apologising for what our ancestors did, we can't change it. None of the Women now had to go through anything. Like I said, both as bad as eachother at times.

Seriously, why does EVERY SINGLE FUCKING serious debate on this forum turn into the same tired bellends judging an entire race/religion/group [in this case women] as a group instead of as individuals?

People are people! Some women are more disgusting than men, some men are more disgusting than women, there are six billion people in the world, each one different!

There is no debate!

So what's your point then? There's some drunken prats out there, both male and female so I don't see why we should be targetting the women here.

Swings and round abouts baby. What comes around, goes around. And anyway, like I said, drinking to that excessive degree is worrying irrespective of sex. That should be the major concern here and not the fact that certain women are acting in an unladylike manner.

Tom4784 09-12-2009 12:46 PM

I'd add to this but I'd just be repeating what Enid and Stu have said really. They've hit the nail on the head.

Yeah I know, there is plenty of docs on in these days. It has almost become part of the British culture, it's sickening.

Very true.

But there will always be double standards with pretty much everything. It is just the way it goes. But to be fair it is more dangerous for women to act like that, because yes they will get taken advantage of, and possibly worse.

Yeah but Men don't get raped as often as women. Stabbing and fights happen all the time anyway. Come on, a drunk girl walking down the steet on her own is much more vunrable than a drunk man.

Yes, and who is she vulnerable to? Men, that's it. Double standards again Joseph. It's not her fault that men are aggressive, sexual deviants, you know? She shouldn't drink because it's not safe for her?! Sorry, I hate that waffle and it makes me sad to be a man when a girl isn't safe on the streets, drinking or not drinking.

Just the world we live in i'm afraid James. Would be nice if she could, but it's not the reality is it.

Saying men don't get raped is a bit of a sweeping statement Joe. And I think anyone who is drunk to that extent is extremely vulnerable, male or female. Round here you actually hear of more guys being attacked on their way home drunk than you do women.

Bottom line noone would should attempt to get home under their own steam when they are that drunk. Not saying that I never have lol when I was younger I didn't even think of the danger in it, and I think that's a big part of the problem with young people today. When you're drunk you lose your common sense totally.

But that shouldn't stop a girl from drinking. Don't you see how mental a statement that is to make? It's like saying that a girl asked for it and is to blame because she was drunk and walking around. Most violent crimes and aggressive acts are committed by men... that's where the problem lies, not with women.

Yes obviously not all men, and well you live in Manchester, everyone gets attacked! (joke)

All i'm saying is a sex attack is more likely to happen to a woman, which can be more damaging in many ways.

exactly James and also Joe, men can get raped as well. And men getting jumped is as common if not more so than women

I didn't say it was because of women, I said it was cos of the world we live in, which falls into men being most likey to attack someone or commit sexual assault.

Exactly, so the problem is with us, not with women. In reality we're the fearful and damaged individuals in society. We're the weaker of the two sexes baby, and we have to mend our ways before women start using test tubes and telling us to all f3ck off. lol.

Yes but we're not all like that come on lol It is a mostly a minority that go out and act like that anyway.
