Perhaps they thought that Eugene could not handle anyone booing him? It did seem a bit odd, I heard one person shouting when Derek's name was read out.

Bless Eugene, I hate seeing men cry. Hope the last week isn't too painful for him. I think Kinga will keep him under her wing.

Its more likely that Derek won't turn up next Friday because of the conflict between him and certain others housemates. He'll just be glad to be over with the thing and have a holiday.

I definitely don't think its the last we've seen of Derek though.

I would go along with that AndyJK. I think he has a TV career in some kind of political show aimed at the 30 somethings to look forward to.

I really enjoyed his interview - he wasnt really awful about anyone to be honest and you have to give him a little respect for that :bouncy:

I'm glad the crowd didn't boo, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were prompted beforehand to cheer to avoid Derek reacting badly and refusing to do the interview.

It looks like Orlaith got the last laugh on Derek..... it's just what she wanted to happen.

I'm sure Orlaith would love to credit for Derek's eviction but it was always on the cards whether she walked or not. And as Derek showed in his interview he's not the slightest bit bothered that he's out.

So its Derek who's got the last laugh, not Orlaith :bigsmile:
