In all honesty I don't think it makes her all that big headed. It'll depend on seeing this on the telly to see the way it was said, the intonation, how serious she was being. The OP does say "Makosi mused that if it were down to her" and then goes on to give her opinion on how it would go if it were her choice. And some of her comments are actually quite insightful.
And yes she may believe that she could win it, but they all would have to believe they can win it since they have made it this far. Ant is desperate to win, Craig smugly believes that his strops and histrionics are getting him sympathy votes with the public. Even Kinga seems to think she has a chance, advising Eugene that they should look out for each other.
The problem is, for Makosi fans this is exactly what we like about Makosi. Something a bit diffferent. Her honesty at this stage is refreshing, unlike the normal crap we're subjected to from housemates along the lines of "oh no I don't want to win, I think X deserves it so much more" Yawn! Every year we get rubbish like this, and yet every year the idiotic public fall for it and vote for some idiot who professes they never wanted to win!
On the other side, for Makosi haters this is exactly why they hate Makosi. They see it as being arrogant and smug and that the girl is full of herself. It's just that I don't see that as being such a bad thing on a telly gameshow. She's clearly out to win, and criticisms over her lying and deceiving people just don't register with me. She's not in church, she's not running for public office, she's not your childs school teacher. She's a contestant on TV show with the chance to win 100 grand. In that context, as Machiavelli (sp) opined: the end will justify the means.
