I'm very surprised. Let's just hope they can keep hold of viewers for the rest of the series. What are we hoping for? 3-4m?

If the average is lower than CBB6 (3m overnights, 3.3m officials) then we can conclude that CBB7 is a flop. It launched with a much bigger audience and has had more media coverage today, with the same amount of streaming but with more internet updates. And this is the first time it has launched on a Sunday so its not as though people will be out tonight and tomorrow etc, so it could build throughout the week. But it has dodgy slots (10-11.10) which could drag overnight figures down a bit.

Salv, how do u know it got 6.3m? DS says 5.9m?

Inside BB, they have taken +1 into account. On +1 400,000 people watched, so that brings it to 6.3m. DS is C4 only.

I have no idea when Channl 4 overnights section will be updated though, its been since December 22nd!!

I think they could drag it down quite a lot sadly :(
10pm shows on C4 never do well.

Thanks :).

Just checked, it says 6.2m which is still great though.

I think tonight will go down to around 3.5m. 10pm is quite late!

well done cbb there will be the traditioal drop in ratings tonite but hopefully it will maintain a 3.5 mill average

Arneldo 04-01-2010 12:04 PM

I was expecting just over half this figure, didn't expect it. But I suppose the real challange will be keeping them watching for 4 weeks.

Gavin 04-01-2010 12:05 PM

I don't believe these ratings. How can CBB all of a sudden get 6.2m when the last series finished with just 3m?

Doesn't seem right! There's something wrong with the ratings.

Stephanie 04-01-2010 12:15 PM

wow.

Brad. 04-01-2010 12:17 PM

Excellent ratings, I hope we can get a series average of 4m. Vinnie majorly contributed to these!

Well if ratings continue to be better than expected then maybe they should consider changing the slot to 9PM for next week.

tbh its already been axed so i'll only class it as a flop if it is boring, so if it has low ratings bts entertaining i dont think id mind as much as i did last year

Wildcat! 04-01-2010 03:27 PM

That is amazing. Well done. I am bumbbed I missed the launch.
