Sorry, but what is a "troll"?
Does that mean something different in forum language? I'm still getting to grips with it! :joker:

Many moons ago I was taught "tu" was a personal thing to someone you quite know and to use "vouz" to strangers which I regerd the net as. so I'd have badly pronounced "Quell age avez vouz?" - but then again I've never tried French since last time Scotland were in the world cup and even then it was useless. In my French Book from school 30 years ago, "Zut alors" was "shiver my timbers" which I tell German pals to say each time in France (Germans seem to have no need/wish to learn French and neither do I)

hennessy 21-01-2010 06:26 AM

and to think I thought 'what age are you' in french was 'what age are you' in english but shouted very loudly and repeated until right answer given.

Maybe silquo should have shouted this very loud in french speaking Geneva part of Switzerland before he did the 14 year old - or in English shouted "where is the condom machine?"

In English, you "are" an age. In French, you "have" an age, if you know what I mean ? English people use the verb "to be" while French people use the verb "to have"
