I cant belive my post in here got deleted for just giving my view on this.
Im not the only one who wrote this today, and of course nothing is said to the other member.

Bullshit.

Princess 20-01-2010 11:33 PM

Well show me the other posts and I'll fix them too. But you came into Gary's thread about a concert and starting ranting about a horribly damaged country getting too much money, like come on!

InOne 20-01-2010 11:34 PM

Opinion in itself is not a defence for what you posted. An opinion is something formed from FACTS and CONTEXT. Neither of which you have a grasp of.

No, Im fed up with people on here treating me unfairly for some reason, while other members get off free with it.
Im still pissed off how I was giving a warning for telling someone they mixed up the letters in the word 'Brother' yet some other guy gets away calling me an Irish Prick.

You get how unfair it is though?

Princess 20-01-2010 11:48 PM

Fine I'll go look at Tom's thread, now could you please leave the thread Patrick.

Iceman 20-01-2010 11:48 PM

anyway back to the Huge Disaster that left millions homeless....

Does anyone know where the concert will be hosted?

Stu 20-01-2010 11:50 PM

What Tom posted, bad as it was in it's own missing the point of the news way, was a whole world different to what Patrick posted. You can't honestly compare them.

MrGaryy 20-01-2010 11:50 PM

It's in Los Angeles. a CNN reporter will also be in Haiti throughout the night.

Danke Schon!

GhettoSuperstar 20-01-2010 11:52 PM

I'd love if they got artists to write really amazing songs to therefore raise as much money as they can. In other words, not some typical ballad cover version but a power song that a lot of people will like... get the best writers together!! C'mon!

Yeah, Tom was talking about the over-exposure of a news story, not saying there shouldnt be a whole massive fundraising event to raise money

Oh right thanks for clearing that up i didnt see the thread....:)

Princess 20-01-2010 11:55 PM

I locked Tom's thread, for peace mainly but it wasn't exactly the nicest topic to have out there. Although as has been said,Tom's was about it being on the news too much,Patrick you were saying it seemed to be getting too much money.

ANYWAY

Back to the concert!

Stu 20-01-2010 11:56 PM

To be fair you can't just lock theads that keep within the rules of the forum just because you don't agree with them.

That's

What's the phrase?

Oh yeah, power mad.

Not at all, I just ment I didnt get the media attention about it.

I heard its not that big a country, but I dont know why so much is going into helping it.
I have never seen this being done for any other disaster before you know?

let me try and put this into perspective for you:

Ireland has a population of 4 million people.
Haiti is a quarter of the size of Ireland and has a population of 10 million. It was extremely poverty stricken BEFORE these TWO earth quakes. Now it is essentially an over sized squalor. If you can not see the need for the mass support and media attention, then you are beyond the point of salvation.

Good explanation

Stu 21-01-2010 12:20 AM

I think what Gary is trying to say Patrick is that they are PEOPLE.

PEOPLE generally care about OTHER PEOPLE.
