To the others, I'd consider nastiness, arrogance, bitchiness etc, as all entertaining qualities. A combination of those always produce TV gold.

Sara had my vote in the BB9 final, but I gotta be honest, when she came 3rd and it came down to Rachel and Mikey, I was with Rachel

At the end of the day, I would vote out the people who are nastier or more malicious because they don't deserve a place there. I'd rather have a nicey-nicey winner who deserves it than a smug winner who did nothing but cause trouble and gets rewarded.
Entertainment during the series is great (obviously) but having a 'nice' winner does not ruin it for me at all, in fact it makes quite a satisfying conclusion :)
BB7 final 3 was the best though, I was supporting Pete, Glyn and Aisleyne! :D

I think it's good to keep somebody who is argumentative and controversial for a shorter period of time, otherwise they are at risk of having a storyline that goes on for far too long and gets very tedious (Eg Noirin and her thing with Siavash and Marcus) or ruining the series completely (Carol BB8)

I was mortified when Rachel won Big Brother 9 especially when my series favourite Mikey was in the running, but I've reflected on it since then. I think her harmless boringness seemed a pleasant counterpoint to what was, by far, the angriest UK Big Brother house in history.

i agree it does make tv gold unlike pete bennett brian belo rachel rice anthony hutton cameron and sophie reid excuse me if i spelt that wrong

i deffinately agree with noirin journey having gone on too long i mean at one it was like is there anyone thats not gonna fall for her it got boring

Well truth is it doesn't actually matter who wins the tiara.

What really matters is that the big characters stay to the end or near the end. The show always gets dull in its final throws anyhow so the best bits are always earlier on.

This winner **** is a red herring.

No, I changed my mind during the last BB (Normal). I supported Hira because I couldn't believe that someone could be on the show who doesn't do anything but then she amazed me with her talent contest antics.

Apart from that I have always supported the most entertaining housemate. They give their all in the competition. That's the reason why I have been gobsmacked at most if not all of the winners.

i like entertainers and have liked sov and heidi i even appreciate steph as a game player but not vinnie he is obnoxious to a point that even i cant like him which is saying something considering previous favs like makosi and grace
