C4's "creative renewal" bollocks

I think C4 knew there would be a spike of popularity in the final year

as 5 years ahead of Booked places and Shows are now to be on.

So Big Brother has been rubbed out by Ch4 (who are bankrupt)

C4 will be even more bankrupt when all of their other shows fail. Dont they get profit from the votes? Without a reality show and no phone votes, they will be in more trouble possibly?

Hm, Im not sure. I dont think they expected ratings to pick up by 1m since the summer, and i think that they will soon be regretting the decision to axe the BB franchise as a whole. I wonder what they will do after the summer...

I can't see whatever they're going to replace it with doing any better anyway. It'll probably be another reality TV show just in a different format anyway, something like Unanimous or Space Cadets. Either way, it's unlikely that it'll be the 'next big thing'.

Five would be great.

BBLB/BBBM/Live could be shown on Fiver.

With Sky1, it's kinda limited because of the shows they have.

I suppose.

But Five is best because it's a terrestrial channel.

Sky will ruin it.

starry 31-01-2010 05:10 PM

As long as there's an internet feed with decent web site with news. The internet is an integral part of Big Brother now.

All I want is a Station to pick it up
Even Watch Ch.

No live feed needed as CBB proved

Twitter feed was sufficient

No UnCut Live Feed is great and better
I would pay £10 week for it.

I don't agree really as twitter is a very restricted view, you only know what someone tells you. You can't really enjoy the tasks on twitter. But I'm thinking even more about the summer series. It's important that Endemol's manipulation is cut back and the audience can judge for themselves more.

Zippy 31-01-2010 05:39 PM

Nobody watches Sky.

Theyll just spoil its memory.

Live feed is edited and you only see what they want you to see ...

It is, but you can still get a general impression of someone by seeing them and hearing them say things. Twitter won't give you any of that expression behind words and actions.

They're switching off the analogue transmitters and reverting to digital signals, to improve quality etc.

More information here

Does it matter anyway? 99% of viewers only watch the highlights show because its an entertainment show. It stopped being real life after about the first series or so.

Maybe, I mean tbh I was against this whole BB Twitter Live **** when it was made but I love it now.
I spent the last 3 Weeks off School and the Bus Rides, on my phone on Twitter reading BBLive.

Made the day go quicker and now Im gona be so bored now without it :(

I just wish there was less manipulation by them though, I think that's one of the reasons they lost some of the audience. A turning point may have been them allowing Nikki to return and be eligible to win in BB7. Cutting live feed is all part of the manipulation. Also live feed adds some buzz around the show for the media including the internet which is definitely an important part of the show and is likely to only increase in importance.

Oh yeah I remember that, so many people were pissed off and the producers were argueing over it too.
