Roughly 100-150 get through to the Diary Room stage at each venue. As there were 5 venues and 7 dates that makes up to roughly 700-1050.

They will probably by split up for various producers to go through and choose half of the people, so if they're given 50 audition clips they can only put through 25. The people who are through get a call to go to the next stage which is always really top-secret. At this stage there will be BB team members analysing people within group discussions, activities, etc. where they will make notes and the next selection of people will be eliminated.

Eventually it will be whittled down to say 75-100 and the producers will have a big meeting about who is best suited and why, etc. Some will then go into the test house, others will be stand-ins and others will become the last ever bunch of Housemates.

its a long time to wait why do they have such a gap. People who got through to the call back and waiting will be waiting annoyed at any missed calls from unknown numbers. Alot can change in 2 months from auditions.

Because the open auditions are just like a giant filter that gets rid of all the "no" people - and when over 10,000 auditioned it's pretty much vital.

Now they have roughly 500 left to go through, but more precisely. They're now looking for a number of things in the applicants, not just who stands out...

1. Who has something unique or different about them. Background, Disability, etc.
2. Who can bring something to the house. Bitchiness, Laughter, Arguements, etc.
3. Who can cope? This is the reason a lot of ex-HMs have had some sort of struggle in life, because BB know they haven't been wrapped in cotton wool all their lives and have some mental strength.

The audition tapes and application forms of all auditionees will be put together and watched/read by a number of producers, who will then discuss their opinions on the housemate and the above things (a bit like after your Round 2 interview when they discuss it and decide on a yes or a no).

You will not hear now until March time...you will then go to london to be put in groups. You will play random games and banter. You will then be picked to go to the next stage..psychologists. Anything can happen after that.

Auditions have only just finished so nobody would've heard anything by now, however, between a week from now and the end of february, early march at a very push you will have heard something if they're interested. Thereafter you might aswell forget about it and move on because there is no way they'll refer back to the longer regional lists of candidates after they've constructed their oversized shortlist of 200-50 potentials.

So for now, everyone who has auditioned and succeeded so far has a chance and can remain hopeful.

if you get a call back do they pay expenses. I.e a night in a hotel? Would be a nice weekend i've never been to london

Lol well ooo that as well. I just wondered really if you met any. Although I did hear that Marco from bb5 was friendly with Vanessa bb6 so therefore I think Marco gave advice to Vanessa of what to do in the BB auditions. Also apparently Imogen bb7 knew Rachel from bb9 (They were in Miss Wales together) so I bet Rachel was helped out of what to do too!

Oh lol. I would love to meet a ex housemate :) I have only seen Nikki and Mario and Lisa at the auditions but did not speak to them :(
