I'll never get the appeal of James Dean as a beautiful man. I mean ok, the guy was tremendously gifted but he wasn't very manly, sure he wasn't? Bit ickle too.

Could be becasue he died young, a lot of the stars get old, decrepit and wrinkly.

That's very true... he's has that iconic stature because of his early demise. Still would have been great if he'd lived though, but I doubt he would have aged as well as some of the others.

Was never a particularly huge fan of Taylor but she's absolutely beautiful in this film, along with the great Newman, who for me has to be up there as one of the best looking men on screen of all time. Two of them look sickeningly good in this flick.
