Russell Brand/ Karl Pilkington/ Ricky Gervais/ Stephen Merchant/ Peter Kay
My list is endless. I like so many. But Peter Kay goes top
Ricky Gervais.
Alan Carr and Russell Brand probably.
Pryor, Connolly and Tiernan.
Gervais, Izzard and Hicks are class too. |
Ricky Gervais
CONNELY - by a clear mile! I find him a much more natural and honest comedian - a lot less contrived than many others.
Never really been into stand-up comics because the humour seems very contrived - I prefer seeing people's natural reactions to given situations - that can be hilarious! |
Tommy Tiernan and Russell Brand second
Catherine Tate, she's incredible.

Thank you  Edit: My fave is Josie Long. |
If I'm allowed to include more than just stand-up comics, off the top of my head it would be Paul Merton, Stewart Lee*, Armando Iannucci*, Reeves & Mortimer, Adam & Joe*, Adrian Edmondson and Victor Lewis-Smith*.
Possibly Chris Morris too, but I think he's become a bit of a victim of his own hype. *= absolute top favourites |
