Some people can't see past the superficial - it is not just about youth and sterotypical good looks! Some people have something 'extra' - a presence, spark - call it what you like - that oozes sex appeal!

Maybe the fact you don't find women funny - says more about you than it does about them!

Braden 18-04-2010 04:12 PM

Gabrielle hands down.

I think Susan looks good for her age though.

it is a well known fact that women are not funny

males are funny as they are the species that has to court

women are not funny as they dont need to be

Miranda Hart would be an example of a woman who has tried to adopt the male role of being funny due to her being a pugly, she failed.

WOMBAI 18-04-2010 04:17 PM

It may be a well-known old man's tale - doesn't make it true! Just a load of sexist drivel from a bunch of misogynists!

look at the stats

gigs
tv ratings
dvd sales
tv appearances
films

any metric you like

Women and comedy do not mix and make $0

You can get women to play roles that re funny, witness Rachel Green and Elaine Bennis

Probably has more to do with lack of opportunities - than anything else! Women getting typecast by sexist men!

I have seen many women that have made me laugh - so your inability to find them funny - does not mean they are not funny!

Wipe your chin LT you are dribbling, of course there are lots of funny women, people like Barbara Windsor June Whitfield etc but then again you dont see them as funny because you would prefer to see women reduced in some way.

Obviously we are, but pray tell who do you find so massively funny that mere women cannot hold a candle to their illuminating hilariousness. Its easy to sit being offered lists and saying "not funny", so come on do let us into the secret.

Yeah good answer, total non commital, so what "funny" comedians? Because going from your dismissal of the female comedians there cant be that many funny comedians

I just think you have a problem with the way you view women full stop! They have a certain 'place' in your mind - and comedy isn't one of them!

Your problem dear - not ours!
