as is the x factor, as is big brother, as is every other show this forum's supposed to be aimed at.

Have to admit though, it was particularly poor over the weekend.

Well BB is different to the x factor and BGT. It's the editing of those two shows that is annoying.

I love Dirty Sanchez. Now the funny thing is a lot of people will instantly call B.S. on me for talking about BGT being a cultural cancer yet I watch Dirty Sanchez.

Difference is, DS is not proclaiming to be anything. It's not edited for anything. It's not trying to make you think something. And people don't watch it in their millions. It's not showcasing people suffering delusions, in turn deluding others. It's just drunk Welshmen doing stupid stuff. It's not a television show. It's a few blokes with a camera and an MTV budget.

Its a bit funny saying that on a BB forum which is basically the same thing. Every BB show is edited, they edit a SHOW to put together to make it entertaining and basically create story lines.

BB is NOT reality. Its a drama passed off as reality. That is the truth. A lot of them may seem like strangers to each other but in the end, they are actors as much as anything because of the way the shows are edited.

The editors can make and break some ones chances to win. That is NOT REALITY.

It's not strictly reality, but the events that are happening in the house really are happening between people who are not being fed lines. The situations may be created to a certain extent but the arguments are not. I also don't believe in this unfounded myth that virtually every facet of the show is edited. Also, might I remind you that if it were not for the recent axing of the live feed, your argument would be totally redundant.

You don't kid yourself with Big Brother. It's vaudeville. I know I am watching a show without talent or without a point. BGT is different. It tricks you into believing in a sob story. That's it's existence is somehow beneficial to British society and we should 'get behind' some dancing group of monkeys for the true 'artists' they are. It's even got the word 'talent' in it's title for fuck sake.
