I think some chavs are hot. Something about them being in trackies that makes me go weak at my knees.

30stone 11-05-2010 10:38 PM

Just because your a chav doesnt mean your a moron..

A lot of them are but one in some of my classes was one of the smartest in the year.

I never had a problem with chavs... i used to hang around with a lot of them to.

Toward the end (year 11 mainly) our whole year got on tho..

Kerry 11-05-2010 10:39 PM

I'm not a fan of stereotyping. But I do know you do get certain groups acting in certain ways. But do remember it's not ALL people who dress certain ways or listen to certain music or speak a certain way that are not worth the time of day

I do get where the OP is coming from though. I once stood up to a lass at school who thought she was 'it'. Proper ring reader who bullied the quiet ones (typically). I used to ignore her but one day turned and answered her straight back much to the gobs on the floor of everyone around us. Her mates and mine. She never bothered me again

... is the wrong answer.

If your not a moron, your not really a chavs chav. Wearing tracksuits, thinking blue neon lights are really pretty damn cool and listening to Basshunter doesn't automatically make you a chav.

Culturally depraved, maybe, but not a chav. A chav is a certain kind of mentality.

Ahh but people overuse the word chav..

Massively that it annoys me so much.

Basshunter isnt even chav music generally, to me chav music is grime..

InOne 11-05-2010 10:45 PM

Sorry if my little story 'offended' but I'm not going to be told what is right and what is not by people who have not even experienced anything like it.

Isin't that the point I'm making? That people overuse the word?

There is no such thing as chav music. That's also word overuse. Certainly certain artists have become synonymous with chavs. Like Basshunter has with the Irish chav and chavettes.

True.

I have been called a chav before, even on here because i used to like basshunter.. wear tracksuit bottoms etc..

Its peoples mentalities and attitudes that make them a chav, to me at least.

Sorry I said anything. Don't let it blow off a row. I know people can edit within a certain time and it not show up yet saw a post was edited as I read through the thread. Wondered if it was an admin until I read back and saw the OP hadn't been changed.

Nope but some some people (not saying you) take that sort of stuff almost personally and go off into a big PC rant.

Kerry 11-05-2010 11:03 PM

I'll take something personally if it's aimed at me (family, friends). Upto them what they say otherwise

I fully appreciate that, I can understand your point, its only by taking on the ringleader, you can get anywhere, however with bullies etc when you do, they normally are the ones to invoke thier rights and get the police involved.

I'm not getting at you or anything don't worry. I get a little confused with that editing thing at times as well.

That's basically the point I was putting across the first time, yes.
