Ok...a bit late with my updates. Not much was going on before last weekend.
First things first: double-eviction that saw Habib and Riikka being evicted. Yesterday Ville was ejected for contract violation. On Sunday night the HMs had a party. For the first time this season they had enough to drink...one could say they even had too much to drink. Here's a short recap of the so called juicy bits: Ellinoora was the first to completely loose it...she made out with pretty much all the girls. Satu was the only one she didn't make out with. Ksenia also made out with Paul and Elisabet with Petri. Ville asked Ksenia to take her top off in the sauna, and she did. Paul tried to put the top back on, Ksenia refused. Yeah...Ksenia was the second to totally loose it. Elisabet was the next, but she pretty much always goes crazy under the infulence of alcohol. The party didn't last for long. Less than 3 hours into the party Ellinoora threw up into the hotthub outside. She was taken to the DR (yes, taken as she couldn't walk herself). BB asked if she was OK, she answered yes. BB asked, if she could stand up. She said she was just gonna lay down for a bit...she did. And threw up on the DR carpet. Hannu and Niko had to go in and carry her out onto a sofa. About an hour later Ksenia threw up in bed. And the guys carried her on another sofa. Not long after this Elisabet threw up in bed. And so the third sofa was occupied. The total of 6 HMs passed out and 7 threw up. Out of 12. |
Paul walked.
Ellinoora and Marika are up for eviction. It was nice to see you, Ellinoora...but bye-bye. Yeah...Elli doesn't stand the slightest chance against Marika. This concludes my update for the night. |
Id like to try and watch a Big brother from abroad as im from England and luckily spent time in Australia and downloaded a few of their seasons now, but i would be intrested in seeing the Finland big brother, do they speak in English in the show or subtitles ?
If anyone knows where to download be appreciated. Gaz |
I'm still looking for a way to share the daily shows for anyone interested. Can't promise anything though. I'll do the best I can at the moment.
Anyhow...as expected, Ellinoora was evicted. This week all the HMs are up for eviction by default. Seems like our BB is not entirely without a sense of humour. Last night the HMs had a party. Not long after the party started the HMs received message from BB: they would have a companion on the patio they can't loose for the whole night. Or there would be a penalty. The companion: a bucket for each HM with the HM's names on them. |
This looks soo good! :( Jealous
|
The house is amazing, i LOVE the bathroom and the house layout.. the bedrooms a little cramped tho..

Anyhow...Satu was evicted. Elisabet seems like she's ready to walk right now. |
Sorry for the delay. Again...I just got back from a trip to Galway. I fell in love with western Ireland, and sure as hell going back for a couple of weeks next summer. :cheer2:
For now back to the subject: apparently Ksenia was evicted and Hannu ejected last week. |
Tonight Inka got the boot. Nothing surprising there.
Next Sunday a HM swap will take place. Again. The options being India, Greece, Portugal and Slovenia. We can pretty much drop India and Slovenia them having celebrity editions. My guess from the remaining 2 would be Greece. Main reason being bad economy. Both Africa and Pinoy were chosen for that same reason. Or that reason being one of the factors. Though, in the previous 2 countries the main reason for picking them for the swaps was that in both countries the living conditions between rich and poor is vast. Anyways...we'll be wiser about which country the swap will take place with in a week or so. Oh...and Marika won a trip to Thailand, worth 3000 euros. Obviously she can't collect before she's out of the house. |
Interesting. Today the HMs here were waken up with a song sung by Sandra Auer. She's one of the HMs in Slovenia. So I guess I was wrong about Slovenia not being an option in grounds of being a celebrity edition.
At least here the week these swaps have taken place have been full of hints as to where. Or as with Munya, they even hinted the name of the HM coming to stay in the BB Finland house. Though it's still possible, that there won't be a swap. This could just be a hoax between the two productions. In BB Slovenia the theme for this week is lies...the presenter told the viewers that there will be a swap to Finland. And that 2 new HMs will enter. And that one of these two is a lie. |
More news...or rather just speculations about the swap: it seems, that it's possible it's a three-way swap between Finland, Portugal and Slovenia. I guess one of ours would go to Portugal, one of Slovenia come here and one from Portugal go to Slovenia. Or something like that.
This would actually be kinda cool, if it turns out to be true. But...at this point it's just a rumour. |
The original rumours about the swap between Finland and Slovenia turned out to be true. Sandra has already left the house in Slovenia, Niko will leave tomorrow.

I've been watching BB Finland for about a month now, I'm a foreigner that moved into this country about that same time ago.
I think BB Finland is by far the one which treats it's HM's in the best way. Almost never too hard tasks and tons of parties and rewards. I don't speak the language so of course I don't get much of it, just the basic. Now with this swap with Slovenia I could understand things better this week as almost everything they broadcasted was about Sandra. Sandra was really lucky...she was treated very nicely (even if they lied to her as part of their task or whatever) and got to experience a much more nicer version of BB than Niko over Slovenia. No offense to slovenians if there's any on board, but that is one of the worst BB versions I've watched. And the people themselves...boring, cranky celeb men and plastic surgery doll women. Nothing seems to ever happen there as far as fun goes, I bet Niko can't wait to get back in Finland. And poor Sandra for going back into her country, I personally don't see how she fits with that bunch of grey people! Now about BB Finland anyway...I guess I don't really like any contestant in the end. Maybe Marika if I had to choose. She seems to make an effort to be nice and fun all around others. But she sounds quite annoying at times too. About tomorrow nominations, I hope Nino gets evicted. I don't understand why is that guy popular. Sure, he's a goofball apparently, who doesn't like them after all? But it gets sickening after a while, really. I speak from experience since in that sort of a way I am quite much like him. Except he doesn't come across as intelligent at all and seems quite annoying as well. Jani T, that guy I don't really get what's he all about. Apparently he's not liked by his housemates anyway. And as for Petri, heh, I don't really like this apparent general opinion that he's now the "man of the house" that Niko left or whatever. He seems quite immature to me. The way he dealed with the Sandra possible fling thing...he could have maybe used that in his advantage. But he overlooked it and ended up looking quite dumb IMO. As for the other girl nominated, Elli-Maija, I kinda like her. I'm thinking maybe it's her that gets evicted because she's quite reserved, withdrawn, has a boyfriend and looks all around depressed, not sure why...something going on or she's just not ambienting to her housemates very well? Actually, I was wondering about her short conversation with Sandra today, when she said she thought she was being evicted because Nino is popular and Petri is the only straight guy in the house (I guess the other is Eetu?). I didn't know Nino and Jani T are gay even if it can be a bit obvious if to be judgemental. How often is it that the male contestants in finnish BB are gay? I guess not as much as the girls being bi or well, party-time bi, because girl on girl action seems to happen all the time around here with girls when drunken enough (and you don't really need to watch BB to witness that anyway). Well, these are just some of my opinions based on my limited knowledge of watching the show. About the old contestants...not much to say, Ellinoora was really cute but then again came across as a bit of a moody diva and I don't get why Satu was even on this edition, she's totally out of charachter when trying to fit her alongside the group. But I did get she was liked by most others and was sort of a "wise" big momma for all of them, I guess it was to couter-balance all the immature stuff going on inside the house with all others. |
Sorry for the long gap between updates. I've been a bit pre-occupied and a few other forums I'm writing to. Not only BB-related. Anyway, to get everyone up to speed: Vilhelmiina was evicted shortly after Sandra entered. Ellinoora was evicted last week.
To answer Radium's questions...the weekly task during the swap was indeed to lie (or more specifically give a false but plausible picture of Finland and the culture) to Sandra. Judging from the reasons for nominating Ellinoora, at least some of the HMs thought she was homesick and bad moody. Giving the house negative energy. Since the questions were asked during the swap, at the time the other straight male in the house was Eetu. Niko is also straight. There have been gays in BB Finland every year since season 3. Usually 2-3 per season. This season there's been 3 gay guys (including Niko S.) and 2 lesbians (Marika and Mia). And a few who declared themselves being bi. And what comes to Radium's assessment of CBB Slovenia...I'm quite sure the slovenes mostly agree. At least judging from what they've been writing on their official forum. Niko is the HoH, again. However this week the HoH didn't have immunity in nominations. Also there was a twist in the nominations, that hadn't been used before in BB Finland. The HMs were called to the secret area, where they nominated each others face to face. They had to reason their nominations properly, nothing like "because we haven't talked that much". And they had 2 minutes each to do this. Any HM failing to nominate with proper reasons within 2 minutes would be automatically up for eviction. |
I was a bit confused last weekend when Elli-Maija got evicted...during all night Jani T appeared in the last position on the graphics, having his own bar on red, so all night long I was quite satisfied with the idea that it'd be him getting voted out. What's with those graphics...do they keep the % of the bottom two secret or what? I remember the presenter saying "1% difference" or so all the time so I guess it has to do with that. Still I don't get, why graphically suggest that Jani T is the least voted one and then have someone else evicted. Maybe it's all about me not understanding the language or have little knowledge on the rules of the finnish version of BB, but to me it was just confusing. But I still wonder what was the problem with Elli-Maija during her stay on the house, why was she shown crying so often? Just missed her boyfriend or something else?
Also, why was Niko crying the other day? He was called into the "confessionary" room and footage of him speaking something with his HM's was shown, as well as footage of what I understood to be his girlfriend (Sofia) watching those images as well. And she didn't look happy at all. Did he betray her inside the house with someone else, or was he just bad mouthing his girlfriend or their relationship, or what? I didn't watch BB for the past couple of nights so I missed to watch what you last wrote. Must have been quite interesting... |
No-one really understands the graphics. To most if not all viewers they are more of a joke. Also after the last time the graphics are shown there's still 3 minutes left to vote. Some people are of the opinion, that the results are fixed. Some say there just aren't that many voters, so the positions can change quite drastically in just a couple of minutes.
Partly Elli-Maija was crying for missing her boyfriend. But there were also other reasons, one of them simply being the stress of being in the house. Also she got close with Eetu, and was jealous of Sandra at first because Sandra took some of the attention she had gotten from Eetu. Niko was crying because of Sofia, yes. The night before Niko left to Slovenia he was offered a night of relaxing in the secret room. He wanted to party with the rest of the HMs, because it would be the last time he would be able to party with all of the remaining ones. What BB didn't tell him was, that Sofia was waiting in the secret room. With a romantic dinner. BB told Niko what he had missed...and mostly he was crying, because he was worried he might've hurt Sofia's feelings. The nomination twist will be shown in tomorrows daily. They didn't show it live. But the athmosphere right after was somewhat awkward. Some HMs were even crying a bit. There's a party today, again. This evening might get interesting. Oh...and Jani, Marika, Nino & Petri are up for eviction. |
Friday night did indeed get interesting...but not in the way I and many more were expecting. No fights, everyone got along just fine. Elisabet and Petri more than others. They ended up under the same blanket. And some heavy petting was going on. They never had sex...just petting.
Also...Jani T. was evicted. |
This week all HMs were up for eviction. The voting went on the whole week.
Elisabet was evicted. Which is really a shame, since she was one of the most entertaining HMs of the whole season. She didn't have any chance of winning though, but would've made the final week a little bit more interesting. Today started the semi-final voting. On Thursday during Extra 2 HMs will be evicted, leaving the usual 4 to the final. This week a new system of voting was introduced. Turbovoting...it allows to send 5 votes with a single call or SMS. Also, with one phonecall 10 votes can be sent. This system will most likely be used until the end of the season. |
Noora and Petri were evicted. Either Marika or Niko N. is most likely to win. Also, Marika is now the only HM left, who entered on the launch. We've had 2 seasons before, where there were 2 original HMs in the final (seasons 3 & 4).

Missed watching the evictions gala (?) today...does it ever repeat?

Anyway...no real surprises. Eetu came 4th, Nino 3rd, Marika was the runner-up and Niko N. the winner. No official announcement of next year. However, BB being the highest rated show on Sub, I'm sure there will be a BB again next year. Also, Sub is owned by a Swedish company Bonnier. Who also own TV4-group in Sweden, and on one of their channels BB Sweden will return after a few year's abscence next spring. Bonnier clearly feels, that the format still has something to give. |
I personally was a bit surprised Niko N won. I know he wasn't exactly unpopular and even had following since his participation in a former BB season but going as far as saying he'd win the whole thing would be stretching it a bit. This is, once again, my not very clear opinion on how things exactly are surrounding the BB world. Marika always seemed to have a huge fanbase and survived many weeks of being nominated. So I don't know if it was a bit unfair in the end...maybe they just wanted to reward Niko for the crappy week in Slovenia and the whole missing to meet Sofia thing
Btw, I've been meaning to ask this for long...why was Nino evicted from a former edition? I mean, like, exactly why. I read it was sexual misconduct but that's not specific enough. I keep reading on some other forum that he's "the molestor" but I guess that's related to him working as a playground instructor, right? Also I just read that on the 2nd edition or so, someone was evicted for trying to perform sexual act on a HM that was asleep and that it was under investigation by the police. Wonder how that turned out if you know what I'm talking about? As for BB returning, I'd like that, but going by what friends say and what I've been reading this has been "the worst BB ever" in the history of finnish BB. I'm not quite aware of the ratings and such but I think I read they weren't great or as great as they've been before. So I'm not really sure whether there's a new edition next year or they take a "break". Oh, and Susanna Laine tonight  What a stunning woman. Not that Elina isn't quite pretty woman too, but Susanna totally stole the show tonight. I'd have watched everything through even if I hated BB, just to be able to witness such eyecandy as tonight's :D |
There were quite a few people, who said Niko N would win from the moment he entered the house. In that sense it wasn't really a big surprise he did. Although I think the turbovote-system had a big role in Niko winning, seeing as the difference between Niko and Marika was about 1%. Niko most likely just happened to had supporters who could afford to send and call more turbovotes than Marika. That could've easily made the difference.
Nino was ejected for groping Sampo, even after Sampo had asked him to stop. However, later Sampo said he didn't think it was serious enough to get Nino ejected. And Mika allegedly tried to lower Sorella's (who was allegedly asleep) panties and finger her. He got off with a fine of 675 euros. There have been a gossip going around for a couple of weeks, that the format would be released to competitive bidding. So the absence of the announcement could just mean, that the bidding would still be going on. And there's no certainty of who will produce BB here next year. On the other the official site is giving a link to the BB Sweden application form...don't really know, what that indicates, if anything. In any case, we'll find out in February the latest. The auditions should start on February-April, if they were to make a new regular season. |
