Ray Winstone. Used to come to the bar I was working in for a few pints at the weekend when he was filming Arthur over here. Very nice man actually, and always willing to chat away.

BOOSH 26-05-2010 10:01 AM

I've met a lot of bands really. Lostprophets, Bowling for Soup and Bring Me The Horizon are my favourite, Lostprophets are from my town and went to my school, BFS are super friendly and made me keep talking coz they loved my welsh valleys accent LOL and BMTH, well they were a bit shy really, as they weren't so big at the time. but I had a HUGE crush on the frontman, Oli Sykes xD Haha.

I used to work in a pub in London that was across the road from the LWT studios so I served a few celebs, Ant & Dec, Kat Dealey, Michael Barrymore, Sean MaGuire (he's gorgeous in real life) Suggs

ElProximo 26-05-2010 10:43 AM

On this side of the pond.. and by 'meeting' I suppose you can say had actual conversations with...

Mickey Rooney (old time super celebrity and back in his day probably the most famous person in the world).

Norm MacDonald - funniest man alive and hugely famous in the USA and Canada.

Nickelback - (various times, various members, various places)

I've met a few other celebrities of all varying degrees including some reality show stars and especially BBUSA people,
but,
those two I would say were massively famous celebs I met.
Both were just great.

Nickelback as a group are just genuinely good guys and 'down-to-earth' with zero 'rock star' attitude and almost all (or all) are working class family men who did not change as they succeeded.
This was at the time before and during their peak.
Only difference is they upgraded their homes from humble places to massive mansions with indoor ice rinks and studios etc.
Must be nice.

Oddly enough I bumped into Prince Henry once. I mean in a totally obscure location nothing to do with any public event. Didn't exchange any words but briefly stared at each.

Oh.. and Randy Bachman I have met several times. Most of you under 40 won't remember him or Bachman Turner Overdrive but they were a massive supergroup back in the 70s and probably as famous as it gets.
Super nice dude.. also a very family man type. Weirdly enough was and still is a practicing Mormon.
(not many of those rock stars I don't think hehe)

pinkmichk 26-05-2010 10:50 AM
