5m

Junior Apprentice got 4.2m last night, against the likes of Harry Hill and BGT, so that could be some very stiff competition for launch night.

Spike 03-06-2010 10:13 AM

Yeah Junior Apprentice is looking like a bit of competition for BB and also i've just realised that the final of Junior Apprentice is on Thursday 10th June so the Wednesday episode is now more unmissable because there will be less time for viewers to catch up before the final. Also i'm sure I have read somewhere that around half The Junior Apprentice audience are 16-34's which is an amazing figure but also Big Brother's target demographic.
However, Big Brother has been up against the much stronger normal series of The Apprentice and hasn't been too effected so I don't think the damage will be too big especially with C4+1 there

*mazedsalv** 03-06-2010 10:32 AM

Yes we are lucky we have +1 that can watch at 10pm.
Tbh many of my friends who watch the normal version dont watch JA. Yes it will be competition, but BB is being advertised a lot, the press, billboards etc.... i havnt seen any of that for JA. So lets just hope the media forget about JA for the day :p

The climax of Coronation Street (which was supposed to air tonight but has been cancelled due to shootings) airs on Weds 9th June.

I think it finishes at 9pm though which will be alright :)

I thought that was to be aired at 9pm on Wednesday:shrug:

Fear not:

Wednesday, June 9
8pm - Coronation Street (30 mins) - Should have aired on Friday, June 4 at 9pm
8.30pm - Coronation Street (30 mins) - Should have aired on Monday, June 7 at 7.30pm
Will air together as an hour-long edition

Bumping is this as there is only 2 days left!!!

Any more predictions>?

BIG-BRO-FAN 07-06-2010 04:42 PM

I reckon 5.1million for Launch :)

They're up against Junior Apprentice Semi-Final too!

President 07-06-2010 04:44 PM

what are the chances of 8m?

That would be awesome, but I think the chances are slim.

I do like your optimism though. If the show has a good launch and gets people talking, the ratings will grow as the series progresses.

Spike 07-06-2010 04:57 PM

I'm thinking my launch rating prediction of 6.4million is a little optimistic now. There seems to be little hype around the series but with it being the last series viewers could come from seemingly nowhere. I'm thinking maybe an average of 5.9million now

snukey123 07-06-2010 05:01 PM

I think it might average 6.1 million with a peak of 6.7 million similar to CBB7 ones

*mazedsalv** 07-06-2010 05:45 PM

I heard that for the first time in years, all the pubs in my local area will show it... will that increase ratings?

Haha - that's awesome for BB!

Erm, think I'd prefer to watch it on my own though, away from all people, shouting and generally making noise though.

Lucy. 07-06-2010 05:51 PM

I'd say 6.3 Mil for the Launch

Well my closest pub have all my family (but not me Im underage LOL) watching it who havn't watched in years because someone i know is in the 80 and they have just heard of it.

I'll watch at home with my parents, sister and some cousins maybe.

Joe. 07-06-2010 05:56 PM

Many people prefer the Celeb version to the Summer one so I think the ratings won't top CBB7 but may just match them.

That sounds good - I'll be more than likely watching on my own, with the TV on full-blast, making sure nobody can distract me, haha.

Oh, I'm the opposite. Much prefer the summer over the celeb one - I wish they would just axe the Z-list celeb shows and keep the summer series for the future.

Spike 10-06-2010 06:39 AM

Very interested to see the launch ratings.
It was a good show and different enough for people to stick with it. It deserves a 6million average and I think it will get around that.

tmx 10-06-2010 09:16 AM

Sorry, I meant to post this here and not start a new thread!

It PEAKED at 5.7m, so average probably around 5m or so

*mazedsalv** 10-06-2010 09:17 AM

:(
I was expecting more, I really hope the peak was higher, like 6.7m.
