2. If the ratings are very good for BB11 well then more channels will show an intrest in the show to purchase it after BB11 Ends this is proven by what happen with CBB7 in January and that only got 3 Million and yet channels said they would buy it.

So basically the ratings do matter for this series, people may think because BB is axed that they don't matter but thats not how other brodcasters will look at it when they consider buying Big Brother.

1. The producers have a series plan, they know what is going to happen (see PEJ's comments on DS) They will do their best, as its the last series, if there is 1million viewers or 10million viewers. Viewing figures aren't going to change what the producers do. And to say the producers didn't introduce any twist in BB10 because there was fewer viewers is laughable.

2. BB wont get picked up by another channel. Every serious candidate (ITV, Five, Sky) have ruled themselves out.

So basically ratings don't really matter. The only thing they will determine is how C4 will schedule the show.

If C4 cancelled it in it's prime then it could have been picked up by another channel but it's been a dead horse for years now with ratings. Seriously, enjoy this series but don't put your hopes up for anything for a few years at least. You'll only set yourself up for disapointment because it WON'T get picked up by another channel. It makes no sense, the ratings are down the public are generally apathetic and it takes up a lot of valuable airtime to do. Nobody with a sane business mind will pick it up.

There is too much negativity going on.

Never say never....

In the end, ratings = money. Press attention does not matter. As long as a show gets great ratings, a channel WILL want it because it means more money for them.

People need to stop comparing the ratings to ears ago. Just coz the ratings are down doesnt mean they are s h i t!

A show that attracts millions of viewers is gonna appeal to any channel especially someone like channel5 or a sky channell who never even gets close to say the 6 million cbb7 got!

FACT!

Yes they have
The controller of FIVE said in an interview that he wouldn't go for Big Brother because its not the route that FIVE are going down at the moment. And even if FIVE wanted the show they wouldn't be able to afford it.

Oh sweetie, sit down. Anyone with a morsel of sense can see Big Brother is dead and that the only people who care anymore are pathetic stans like you on some minuscule internet forum specifically for the show. I'll be laughing when the viewers come in, along with all the TV critics.

You're not taking into account that the circulation and budget for these channels are less then C4. Even if they did want to pick it up it wouldn't get as good ratings as C4 does and it would be done on a shoestring budget.

Just let it die people, Chances are it'll come back eventually after a rest.

It's only a BB site for 3 months a year, half the regulars don't stay here for BB.
