What the hell is the actual box? is that it? two different parts?
|
The front thing is Kinect :p released in Novermber (aka Project Natal)
The slim console is released this week |
I wish it was white
|
It looks great in black imo xD

Damn, fanboys are lame. Both consoles are great. Hush up and stop being petty. [Enjoy poor quality ports of games that were easier to develop with the 360's architecture]. |
Project Natal is pointless
|
Haha well said Stu xD
Apparently the new Xbox has a 350GB HDD and Wifi compatability Also its only £200, meaning the old models will go down in price |

E3 is normally the sole reserve of Nintendo for having highly paid corporate suits looking riddiculous on stage - arms all flailing about. With the other two doing it this year I don't think I can tolerate the E3 coverage. Especially with Microsoft always going to great lenghts to point out what a jiving bunch of hipsters they are, or Sony shaking their collective fists promising that the PSP will rule the world once it hits it's stride within the next dozen or so years.. Motion control fucking sucks. I play games because I'm lazy. |

Might actually be shneaky and hypocritcal and upgrade when the first user reviews are out
If its almost silent I'll deffinetly get one |
The new vents are a huge plus, this will probably iron out a lot of problems the original model had, when I next RRoD I might get one xD
|
I wish they would just release it with a 60 gig HD at like half the cost. I don't need the announced 250 gigs. Seriously, MS. I can delete stuff. It's no big deal.

It seems like such a long time ago now that Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden's Tomonobu Itagaki was bigging up Project Natal as "revolutionary".
Meh, I don't see Sony's motion controls being much better I suppose. |

I always found the 60 gig more than enough though - and I install all my games so they don't make noise. When I'm done a game, I just uninstall it. I can never, ever imagine running into storage problems. 250 gig is just ... insane. What do people do with it all? :joker: |

I loved the reveal of it, I was watching the feed on Youtube and it was brilliantly done. The fact that it's the same price as a normal Xbox and is releasing so soon completely surprised me as well. I wouldn't go out and buy one but if this xbox ever breaks I won't hesitate I don't think.
|
Looks pretty slick. I've currently got a 360 but wish I had a PS3. I only really play GTA, Fifa and Madden so it's pointless me spending £200-odd on a PS3. But meh, if my current 360 ever conks, I'll definitely think about that slim one.
|
Tbh I won't be throwing my perfectly good Xbox out for some new shiny small one.
But it does look pretty sick. |
A friend is buying this new model soon, hopefully it will be quieter and problems like RRoD will be eliminated (they should be since this is pretty much a completely different console to the original 2005 one)
|
I'm changing my mind on the Kinetic, I wouldn't buy it but I do love the look of Child of Eden. I loved Rez.
|
It could be used very well if they dont just use it for novelty games
|
It's kind of wasted on the Xbox apart from a few promising games. Good technology but maybe they should have tried making it it's own thing? and not an extra component of the Xbox.
|
Aye, but then, if it fails...it fails good and proper, whereas on the Xbox, if it fails, theres always gonna be some cheap games coming out on it :P
|
I think it'd stand more chance of failing on the Xbox though, especially given the potential price (£100 or more). The normal Xbox audience wouldn't typically go for it and why would the casual and Wii audiences shell out £400+ when they already have their Wii? It's an interesting piece of tech but it doesn't make much business sense to me really to release it on the Xbox. It's going against their core audience.
