So now the people you like on big brother reflect you as a person, I think your looking a little too much into things. |

also what Shabby's squat is doing is a freebase (no pun) art thing, nothing to do with homeless, she lives in the squat by choice, I bet if actual homeless people were to turn up they wouldnt be that welcome because they're not arty (or probably bohemian enough) (for those that remember me from last year - you may remember my hatred of the misuse of that word - Im happy to drag those arguments back a year later - bring it on!) Shabby's lot arent proper squatters, they are wannabe's within their selective field that are trying to emulate the past, in a society that could frankly do without them. Let proper squatters squat, theirs nothing wrong with them, but groups like Shabby's give propers squatters a bad name, they are people that arent forced to life the lifestyle but chose to because they think its a social statement. When really they create a bad image for those that are. Its not even the equivilant of a Punk House. They have the funds, from where it comes from we can only assume the worst. I paint, I use acrylic, and I enjoy it. Most of the things I own have traces of paint on it where I have been careless. Shabby's room is empty - surely then I would be welcomed to move into her room, as its now vacant... Wheres the address, I am willing to try. Its much better than a £700 a month rent which bleeds me dry. |
I've met proper squatters. They are nice down to earth people. Not dodgy Shabby types who do it by choice. The whole point of squatting is you don't have a choice, not to turn it into a crappy art thing.

Maybe squatting is the nouveau 'Hippy Chic'.

Pretentious nonsense

It p*ss*s me off when my interests and tastes get raped by fashion for a few months/years because its suddenly cool to do so. Its just a mockery of peoples beliefs and traditions that they will never understand. |
Couldnt agree more, middle class rebel without a clue. If she wanted to help the homeless her and her friends go sleep on the streets and use their connections for publicity, but then they would have to do without all the home comforts of someone elses home and have to endure the elements. Freeloading twats.

Ive been to a few political marches, ruined by people there for a laugh with no belief or conviction. I went to Greenham Common in the 1980's and waved my sign. Joined CND and did a few marches. Accidently got caught up in Protests in the North in the early 1980's with my Granny (who banged her dustbin lids with the rest of the women!) Never wore a mask, or hurt anyone but made my voice heard. My mum wouldn't let me go to help the miners tho cause I was only 14, but Jesus I did hate Maggie thatcher! |
Society has become a parody of itself. And people think the 'Shabbys' of the world is actually, a good way to think and life. She has an awful attitude towards life.
