Crimson Dynamo 18-06-2010 08:07 AM

it is not nice to watch. agreed

KMD 18-06-2010 08:26 AM

Ben and Mario is cute but Dave doing does not seem genuine like he's jumping on the band wagon to try and imbed himself better in a group

Women are naturally more affectionate, so its not that strange to see them all over each other. Men however are conventionally more aloof.

Saying that, i like the fact that they are comfortable and snuggling up to one another, its refreshing!

These man hugs and kisses always happen on italian BB but didnt expect it to happen here, because i had a general feeling that all men on BBUK would want to be seen as Macho, but I'm quite suprised how close they have all become.

camertone 18-06-2010 09:32 AM

because ben, govan, dave are gay!

ben and govan are super gay, a lot gayer than mario!

That's in the Italian culture you and I know quite perfectly. I don't think you can compare the two of them.

Anyway, I'm not judging them, they're doing what they want but it's obvious they want to jump on each other. Ben and Govan aren't very convincing when they're saying they're straight. Gimme a break.

Think about it, when rachel tried to score Brownie points off Dave she mentioned gay marriages, so to prove its simply a church ruling and not his own personal homophobia Dave is overcompensating by being affectionate and close with the other men.

There is also the possibility that its the excuse for the others too, you would have to decide that after considering when the closeness came into being. It could also be a reaction to seeing the girls close ranks and bathing together etc.

last night on the hl show govan had his head resting on JJs lap (jealous!) and i swear if he got any closer JJs cock would have been in his ear

Thats what I mean, no one would make any notice if males do it over there as its normal male bonding, here people are like "WTF is going on here?"

It freaks me out to be honest. I mean Ben seems like a great guy and I reckon I'd get on with him really well, but I can't be havin' guys lying with their arm around me or anythin'. Also I don't do man hugs. So yeah, it's the kind of thing I never do with my friends.

It is homophobic pure and simple you are saying that straight men shouldn`t mix with gay men

Its like saying black people shouldn`t mix with white people that would be racism

Lostie! 18-06-2010 06:35 PM

It's refreshing to see that instead of the clichéd "We're MEN, we don't show affection!".

And anyway, it's especially refreshing for a bisexual guy  :D

There's a certain line you don't cross if you don't wanna be perceived to have gay/bi tendencies.

Laying in bed cuddling and stroking each others hair etc. crosses that line imo.

Lol, people's reactions to this are so British. It's not exactly conventional, but it's harmless and lets face it, the women do it too.

paper-cut-exit 18-06-2010 06:55 PM

Maybe not so harmless to his kids tho huh, that's the point i was trying to make.

Beastie 18-06-2010 06:57 PM

I find it adorable watching Dave, Ben and Mario snuggling up <3
