I think if he were really gay he wouldn't have even noticed Rachael was there. He would have shown indifference, like he has to the rest of the female members.. JJ hated Rachael because he probably fancied her but thought she was an attention seeker and thought it better not to get involved with her.

Its quite refreshing to see a young man who makes considered decisions about who he ends up with and doesn't rush into bed with the first wannabe that comes along.
