My sister once offered me a bottle of lime-ade.

Problem being, the lime-ade was fairy liquid mixed with water.

I was pissing bubbles for a week.

My mum used to do that to me whenever I swore, in the hope it would stop me. It didn't work, cos I'm a stubborn brat, so she gave up in the end.

Only if I was putting up too much of a fight. Having a bar of soap forced between clenched teeth is quite nasty. The worst thing is that flakes of soap get stuck between your teeth.

Eeerrr..... doesn't sound too pleasant to say the least. Your parents aren't too fussed if you swear now, though?

My mum's given up trying to stop me and my dad was never too fussed about it in the first place, really. My mum's never done it to any of my (younger) siblings, she seems to have softened up over the years.

Before my cousin emigrated, I can just imagine what would have happened if I'd sworn in front of her mum! I'd have got more than my mouth washed out with soap, that's for sure!
