Portugal need a win too.

setanta 20-06-2010 04:23 PM

I'm telling you though - Brazil aren't comfortable either after that 2-1 against NK. Ivory Coast will be playing for a draw tonight I'd say and then it could all go down to goal difference. They'll be hard to break down for Brazil.

I think Argentina have this WC in the bag already.

I'm not so sure. Holland have started slowly and have Robben to come back. They were my darkhorse from the start and I'm convinced that they'll go far. Argentina are dodgy at the back and that'll bite them in the arse at some stage.

yeah, too early to pick a winner. in the kO's anything's likely to happen. Still, the top teams seem to always make it to the final.

GiRTh 20-06-2010 05:05 PM

I think one of the struggling teams will make the semis if not the final. One out of Italy, England, France or Germany.

Yeah, it's usually very predictable once you get to the semis. Still though, I'd love one of the smaller teams to go on a run, especially one or two of the ones who've impressed me, Chile being top of my list in that regard. They honestly could knock Spain out. I like Mexico too but they were playing against an utterly crap side so can't rate them yet.

setanta 20-06-2010 05:16 PM

Oh, and like I said - Ivory Coast could spoil things for Brazil tonight. Stranger things have already happened in this tournament.

GiRTh 20-06-2010 06:06 PM

Is Daniel Alvez injured?

EDIT: I've got two Ivory Coast players in my fantasy team so hope he is injured.

King Gizzard 20-06-2010 06:13 PM

Brazils have england to thank for introducing them to football :)

red 20-06-2010 06:17 PM

C'mon Ivory Coast!

He'd be a Gaelic footballer.

Nemo123 20-06-2010 06:23 PM

C'mon the green white and orange!

GiRTh 20-06-2010 06:26 PM

Its always sweet when Brazil get turned over. C'mon Ivory coast.

GiRTh 20-06-2010 06:30 PM

Just seen Daniel Alvez is a sub!?!?!?!

How can he not get in the team? They arent that good.

Nemo123 20-06-2010 06:46 PM

Lovely football boots. Wonder do they ever wear them more than once.

Nemo123 20-06-2010 06:50 PM

Who can spell moment the way Mark Lawrenson says it. Meurment?

Love to hear him sing, This is my meurment, this is my perfect meurment.....

setanta 20-06-2010 07:18 PM

Fairly dour first half with hardly any chances. Fabiano converted that goal beautifully though. So now the Ivory Coast have to go for it. I'm not convinced about Brazil to be honest with you.

Nemo123 20-06-2010 07:23 PM

Brazil have another gear. They shifted up in a couple of flashes. There'll be lots of that come the KO's

Nemo123 20-06-2010 07:25 PM

Gaby Yorath looks like Aunt Sally - all that slap

she's a brunette live, and a blonde on vt

KG. 20-06-2010 07:27 PM

Yessss Fabiano, I knew he would score for me at some point!

They're really slow at updating the fantasy football thing tonight though..

Big Brother Fan 20-06-2010 07:30 PM

Dani Alves > Maicon

I'm still not sure about it. Can't see them beating a big team. Portugal vs Brazil will be interesting. Still though, they've got a formidable defense that'll take some breaking down.
