I am so upset that Harry and Voldemort's duel has been changed to be in the courtyard instead of the great hall.

Princess 29-06-2010 01:38 AM

EPIC much!

MissKittyFantastico 29-06-2010 01:53 AM

It's gonna be in 3D too, ahhhh that will actually be amazing <3

Princess 29-06-2010 01:56 AM

I hope they show it in 2D as well as 3D.

Violetfairy 29-06-2010 06:31 AM

I so can not wait for the first instalment of the deathly hallows, I've been re-reading the whole series of books and listening to the audio books - I do love Stephen Fry's eloquent expressions.

Ugh IK

I hope they haven't changed much else, I was aways hoping it'd be just how I'd imagined it in my mind :(

Callum 29-06-2010 02:01 PM

I hope the split is at Fred and George's cottage after Dobby's funeral

I am glad that up to 45 minutes of the second film will be entirely the Battle though. Will be nice to see Hogwarts before it's destroyed. :(

Ninastar 29-06-2010 02:02 PM

In an odd and kinda horrible way, Im looking forward to seeing it all destroyed. It will be so sad though.

Smithy 29-06-2010 02:02 PM

Will be nice to see hogwarts being destroyed too though

Princess 29-06-2010 02:04 PM

I'm gutted about the final battle as well. I'm going to reread the book a good few times so I can keep all the stuff I've imagined in my head,so it doesn't get replaced by movie footage.

Callum 29-06-2010 02:06 PM

I always imagined the final duel between Harry and Voldemort in the Great Hall with lots of people around fighting their own little duels. Mrs Weasley was definitely there in the book and McGonagall too. Can't believe they've changed it, that's like the main scene in the whole series. :(

Haha I was just thinking that too

Me too, that's one of the most epic lines in HP ever.

You never know, maybe they like still have action going on in the Great Hall with Mrs Weasley and all the others fighting and then they cut to Voldemort and Harry duelling in the courtyard. Fingers crossed anyway, they can't leave the Great Hall out completely surely. :(

Princess 29-06-2010 02:15 PM

I say they'll still have most the battle in the Great Hall(they'll have too loads of main characters die then, and they have to have NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH! cos thats when Molly kills Bellatrix) but maybe Voldemort and Harry will go out to the courtyard? I don't know.

I was thinking that too, They may start in the hall but then they gradually duel their way into the courtyard

Callum 30-06-2010 11:10 PM

Hmm I hope so because one of the reason that battle is so iconic is because of the Great Hall and Mrs Weasley's line to Bellatrix. I loved how Harry had a crowd watching whilst he was duelling Voldemort but they were also fighting their own battles against the Death Eaters.

Oh and apparently in the film Crabbe is completely removed because he was arrested last year for cannabis possession meaning in the Fiendfyre scene where Draco and the trio fight, Crabbe's been replaced with Blaise.

King Gizzard 30-06-2010 11:15 PM

It sucks that there is going to be a big gap between two parts that continue directly after each other

setanta 30-06-2010 11:20 PM

It's going to be good, but can't say that I like how the trailer was produced. Just felt totally different to the rest. Still though, the clips look magic.

King Gizzard 30-06-2010 11:24 PM

Think it looks different cause there is little of Hogwarts in it

setanta 30-06-2010 11:28 PM

Maybe, but I think they got somebody new in to put it together. Just feels different. Don't ask me why though!

King Gizzard 30-06-2010 11:30 PM

Wouldn't surprise me

they've gone through a few producers, editors and a couple of directors throughout the series

Its actually Bill and Fleur's cottage. Shell Cottage to be exact:blush:

I'm annoyed that they've changed the final duel between Harry and Voldemort, especially when you think that the entire series has been leading to that moment. When I read it in the book I went all goosebumby and I was looking forward to it translating onto the screen.
Other than that its going to be epic. Actually scratch that, epic doesn't even cover what this film is going to be.

I meant Bill and Fleur! Was just a typo.
