Yep, you can actually understand why more or less every HM from that series (bar Hira) was put in.

Though, even Hira was funny and entertaining at times.

But I agree, after the epicness of BB10, this series sucks in comparison.

But I am hoping things will maybe change when new hms come in.

Jack_ 27-06-2010 05:26 PM

They got the BB10 cast absolutely spot on, infact I'd say it's one of my favourite casts ever.

Diverse, interesting, and bar Hira, all added something to the show. Extremely underrated series.

And it just goes to show that at the end of the day casting is everything. The production was sh!t last year, but a brilliant cast made for a brilliant series. This year the production is good - but the housemates are crap - and so far, it's making for an absolutely appauling series. Disappointing.

Never going to agree with that. Great housemates (Rex, Darnell, Cookie Kat, Luke, Bex), really fancy and fun house, wicked Diary room chair, and a close family friend, Rachel, crowned the winner. Now that, is a legendary series.

BB10 is worse than BB11. BB4 and BB8 were also worse than BB11.

BB11 is great IMO... the negativity is getting too much.

Spot on.

Last paragraph is very true. Lets hope it gets sorted out.

No it wasn't.
Infact, if BB9 was the last series it would of went out in a massive bang, well maybe not since Rachel won but yeah that series was brilliant.

At the end of the day the reason why I hate BB9 so much is because of BBlock. If everyone in the house had of been like Alex, Luke, Bex and Sylvia then we would of had a great series

stonedape 27-06-2010 05:34 PM

I don't think the series is particularly great so far, but it's definitely not their worst cast out of the gate. A little different, all quirk and no sex appeal. Since BB6 though I've pretty much hated 100% of the cast going in and had to let them all grow on me over time. BB11 is no exception. It's not the worst, but 95% of posters here could do a better job casting.

ILoveTRW 27-06-2010 05:36 PM

For me the only thing BB10 was missing was great tasks (but then again so has every series since BB7). It had everything, and although Hira may of been boring she still did contributed a little bit, well at least more than Steve, Nathan, Iffy, Dave, and Ciaomhe

I like the housemates, LF shows us great fun moments, shame that the Hls miss them out.
Tasks are generall good, like yesterdays penalty shootout task, the sticking people up task and todays puppet task etc...

My names Salv by the way.

Maia 27-06-2010 05:43 PM

The BB8 lot were a shoddy bunch, I barely had a favourite or even cared. This year's lot have also been quite poor so far. We need some new housemates - fast.

It seems some are easily pleased.

A puppet task?! Really? :joker:

Oh, and another thing, I keep saying it but it's because it's true.

The problem this year is that the amount of dullards is far, far too much. In the past we've only had to put up with a couple (Hira, Rachel, Susie to name a few)...and they have just flew under the radar and the larger characters have shone. But that's not the case this year. Far too many dullards and so there is **** all to watch.

Last year proved that ten years on, BB still had the legs to continue. This year proves why Big Brother is coming to an end.

Even the supposed entertaining ones like Shabby are pretty dull really.

BB_Eye 27-06-2010 05:52 PM

In the past week it's gone from being sub-BB8 to being just as good as BB10... not that that is saying much.

Oh yeah there's no doubting that. I still think all my 'favourites' are pretty ****e housemates - they all are. But the way I see it is either they stay or we are left with Ife, Dave, Steve, Mario, Josie, Sunshine and some of the other dullards whose names I can't even remember, to all get on with each other. And that definitely will be sh!t.

Its VERY funny. I think the puppet task is genius, brings out personalites certainkly brought out Steves...

It reminded me of the Box Task when they were arguing and you could only see the pics of the HMs, because when they were talking the cameraman only focussed on the puppets.

JJ and SS smooching was so funny.

I did think JJ would be good, but just seen him cry too many times. Think he'd break down in a real argument.

I agree. People like Rachel, Darnell, Kathreya, Mo, Stuart, Dale, etc. are what ruined the season for me. I found them so unbelievably annoying that it became unbearable to watch towards the end. Thank god for Sara, Lisa, and Rex at the end cuz they were the ones who kept me watching.

But even in BB9 they still had great housemates that made up for the ****ty ones. And even the most entertaining ones this season aren't even that great. If you put Sunshine, Ben, or Shabby in BB10, BB7, or BB6 they would fade into the background compared to the rest of the cast and no one would find them entertaining in comparison to Nikki, Makosi, or Marcus.

Last year was utterly appalling on the tasks front (the I'm a Celeb style eyeball eating task being the worst of all) so anything looks good in comparison for some people I guess.

It's just his rants that made me laugh.

And if Rachael had stayed, the storyline between him and her would've developed and got more intense, if you ask me.

Once the house divide is torn apart (which is currently happening) - we are ****ed. It's as simple as that.

Rachael leaving really ****ed this season up. Things were actually getting good until she left.
