It's not just them either, they've got Aguero and Milito on the bench.

King Gizzard 27-06-2010 07:09 PM

And they didnt even bring Cambiasso

Nemo123 27-06-2010 07:09 PM

Another reasone why we should have Goal line technology ffs

Wrongly given off-side decisions isn't a good argument for using goal-line technology or TV replays in those cases, IMO. You'd be stopping the game all the time to watch replays.

only do it for goals, the play's already stopped. works in rugby.

King Gizzard 27-06-2010 07:15 PM

I guess yeah

But at least it brings the whole topic up into more focus

Wildcat! 27-06-2010 07:19 PM

FCuking ridiculous all these demands for replays just becaus eEngland got a bad deal!
Give me a break! Karma is a bitch sometimes. WHenever the germans bring up the missed goal from 1966, the english just tell them to get over it! This was the exact opposite. Another mistake from referees. It happens, and it keeps happening. FOotball is not perfect or clinical, and we dont like to stop the game. Might as well cahnge in to american FB, and introduce timeouts, unlimited subs etc...

King Gizzard 27-06-2010 07:20 PM

It doesnt take much to look at a screen though

Everyone wants it not just the English

Wildcat! 27-06-2010 07:22 PM

NO, not everyone wants it! I dont want it! I think its bogus! Only the people who have been on the wrong end, all of a sudden want it!
Give it a rest! It is what it is!

King Gizzard 27-06-2010 07:23 PM

Clarence Seedorf just said he wanted it. He hasnt been on the wrong end ;)

Nemo123 27-06-2010 07:24 PM

it's simple. you award a goal kick to mexico instead of a goal to argentina. no different from rugby really

GiRTh 27-06-2010 07:24 PM

They had an extra official for Europa league games. maybe they should expand that scheme.

No that was really a joke that system lol

They would be no better at spotting a goal in a crowded box than the ref would

TBH knowing Blatter, technology wont be introduced no matter how many people want it so I was just offering another idea.

Then the moment of a goal being scored, when you know it is a goal, is gone as the players have to wait for the goal to be reviewed.

GiRTh 27-06-2010 07:32 PM

Seedorf just a made a good comment that England play like individuals and not a team.

HE will say anything to keep his job wiuth the BBC! :)
Saying england get over it, wont do that! LOL!

Locke. 27-06-2010 07:33 PM

They introduced it in tennis, the players can challenge the referee's decision up to 3 times each match. Once they challenge it it gets put up on the screen.

If it can happen in tennis it can happen in football.

GiRTh 27-06-2010 07:37 PM

All other sports that have technology are basically stop start sports that dont flow in the same way that football does. Its different in football for sure, but the events in this game and the England game make the whole sport look like a bit of a joke. Something has to be done.

only if it needs to be reviewed. again, like rugby.
