Robbie Williams isn't an awful singer. Either way, I don't care for him. Snow Patrol are bland and Britney Spears appeals to a mainstream demographic. Pop stars require zero singing talent. Cheryl Cole, anyone?

The reason Jedward, and the other people you mention, are popular is because they've built a certain image. Music has always been as much about image as talent. These popularity contests are exactly that. We vote for people we like and can relate to not simply we find them entertaining or even talented.

yeah shabby is more agressive than caoimhe not more entertaining because i think there are dull as each other.
