16/07/10, I like Josie & I do't think her thumb sucking is fake but I really really wish she would stop doing it. C'mon Josie give it a break.


22/07/10, update............. Can hardly believe how my opinion of Josie has completely changed since I wrote above post. Really don't like her at all now.

Saw Caoimhe doing it as a joke yesterday to Josie. But have never ever seen Ife do it! Also Josie sucks her thumb you can tell by the her way her teeth looks.
It is an awful habit for someone her age and I think she is 100% aware of what she is doing and the reasons behind why she does it.

Its a habit while she is sucking her thumb she needs to have some cloth of anything in her other hand to feel very bad habit at her age.

The psycologist would say in her subconscious she wants to perform sexual act on JJ....just kidding.

Very true, thumb sucking causes misaligned of the jaws and incorrect positioning of the teeth, which Josie has.

I guess her misaligned jaw and incorrectly postioned teeth are a major problem to some.

Not at all, my daughter still sucks her thumb, the only person really concerned about her teeth positioning is her orthodontist

Its a comfort thing, my sister sucked her thumb until she was in her 20s. Her top teeth pushed forward slightly because of it but it looks really attractive on her.

I find it no more annoying and much more attractive than people who bite their nails which is a horrible habit.

she's a toddler. What's funny is that some see her as a mother figure to JJ despite her tantrums, thumb sucking and lying.

Do you have any idea how many calories are in a thumb? :thumbs: Suck one for too long and you'll just pile on the pounds!

There are many reasons why an adult would continue to suck their thumb. It could be a comfort thing like Linus van Pelts security blanket....or it could be due to a stereotypic movement disorder.

But..then again....it could be just due to her missing her mums tit. :tongue:
