Nope cant remember lyrics, Ive only heard it the once a while back. The video had a lead singer whos quite a fat guy, and the screen sorts of flips into the really metal parts of the song.

What colour was his skin?
If you mean flips as in a book, try My Curse by Killswitch Engage.
They're in a book which the pages are flicking in, and Howard (their singer) is kinda chubby I guess.

Mmm nahh i can't help you there :( was it like really heavy metal or just Post-hardcore?

lol 16-07-2010 11:50 AM

Black and hes fatter than the guy in that video, and in the video it kinda fizzles into the metal parts, like switches into it, I cant remember the name of the band but it wasnt one I had heard of before (maybe not popular). And I dont really know the difference Twi.

InOne 16-07-2010 11:53 AM

Maybe Korn?

BB_Eye 16-07-2010 11:53 AM

I can't believe all this greaseball post-grunge music (and that includes screamo/emo whatever you want to call it) is still so popular. It's incredibly dated.

lol 16-07-2010 11:53 AM

I'll try find metal bands with black singers.
Do you remember what other band members looked like?

Twilight 16-07-2010 11:53 AM

Post-hardcore is where they sing in some parts and scream in the other parts :)

Why are you so defensive may I ask?

lol 16-07-2010 11:55 AM

Could be metalcore aswell, as that's a fusion of heavy and soft metal.
Metalcore tends to have a few breakdowns aswell, did you hear any?

I'm not LOL sorry if i seemed it :P

lol 16-07-2010 12:00 PM

I think I may have found it.
When the heavy guitar plays, the screen kinda rotates and comes upside down sometimes if that's what you mean.

The End of Heartache - Killswitch Engage

Plus Howard is black, and kinda chubby.

BB_Eye 16-07-2010 12:03 PM

Each to their own I guess.

BTW I thought post-hardcore referred to music by bands like Fugazi, who actually emerged from the hardcore punk scene and were quite closely associated with acts like Minor Threat.

The stuff you're referring to (presumably Fall Out Boy or the Lostprophets) sounds nothing like it. Hence the phrase post-grunge, which is really a form of pop.

Jords 16-07-2010 12:05 PM

Nah its not that, the band were like on a stage and the room was very yellowy/brown in colour, dont worry about it Ill probably come across it again sometime, Im not a huge fan of metal but I did quite that.

Fall Out Boy are like pop rock, and Lost Prophets are just plain rock I think.

Post-hardcore is bands like August Burns Red, Asking Alexandria, Emmure, The Devil Wears Prada etc.
Or they're metalcore, idk the difference between metalcore and post-hardcore.

I love when metal fans get anal about subgenres. It's way too subjective. Who gives a toss ... I mean really.

Dark ambient trip hop beats them all.

Twilight 16-07-2010 12:13 PM

Yeah LostProphets are definitely rock, and All time low etc are Pop rock imo.

I wasn't getting "anal" about it...
I simply explained to the person, it's not like I was like "LIEK OMG LOST PROPHETS AREN'T METAL Y00 IDIOT THEY'RE LIEK PROGRESSIVE ALTERNATIVE TRANCE ROCK"
