Ben is suffering badly from sleep deprivation - he needs to have a nap during the day.

But he prefers to run his gob off too much all day every day.

Some people need sleep ,some people like it ,ben has said he likes to sleep to make the time pass quicker,he is simply bored and lacking someone who he can talk to about different topics,When people feel tired all the time they are more grumpy,it wasn't just ben asleep last night other were too but they were lucky they could sleep though it,I would think ben is a light sleeper as he is quite nervy and imo,the housemates are selfish at night,so they can hardly call ben up for the same thing, can they?

Jack_ 23-07-2010 10:43 AM

Sorry but it's a communal room, all members of it are free to do whatever the **** they want.

We all know that Ben doesn't like sharing/team work and so maybe it's about time he accepted that:

A) This is the Big Brother house
B) If they want to talk/mess around in the bedroom, they are free to do so

If he had his way they'd all be in bed by midnight and there would be absolutely nothing going on on LF at night. It's dull enough as it is already - let's not make it duller.

Shiner 23-07-2010 10:45 AM

I'd bet a wine gum to a barm cake that those with little sympathy of the situation (other than the outright Ben haters) aren't old enough to know just how much a single nights broken sleep (let alone several) can actually affect a person. It's all well and good when you're young but after the age of around 30 the body and mind needs more time to rest and regenerate. Ben doesn't exactly strike me as a "live wire" so perhaps he has a low metabolism further compounding the problem.

I doubt that BB would be allowed to do a "sleep deprivation" task (other than a duration task) on medical grounds and the PC backlash.

Which is exactly the reason why people like Ben should not go into Big Brother.

:wavey: hiya, i can understand that people need sleep:sleep:, who doesnt, but if he is so worried about sleeping for 8 hours a night dont go on BB where you know you share a house with 14 possibly more people:nono:. He also goes on about needing alone time, did he really think he would get that much alone time in a communal house?:conf:
I can understand if every night they were all talking until 4/5am but they havent been! Ben needs to be careful if the public see him in bed moaning all the time they will evict him.:wavey:

Well yes for this one where the group dynamic sees anti-social behaviour in the bedroom at night tolerated, although BB have stepped in to try and calm it down a bit (kinda puts pay to your argument about doing whatever you want). In past series' keeping folk awake would have got you nominated.

His constant whingeing is more likely to get HIM nominated.

It was ironic a few nights back that he started a rant that went on for so long it was HIM who was keeping the others from being able to retire (to something like 3.45am)

It's this same BS every night.

Your on a reality TV show, the last series infact and you have very limited time left.

Just have a laugh FFS.

The housemates were all talking and actually being a tiny bit entertaining and he buts in 'Can we all go to sleep seriously!'

Just leave the house and go to the nearest Premier Inn and go to sleep while the rest of us watch this lot.

If I were BB I'd play that alarm in right now, because I bet they would all get up and dance and Ben would have a mental break down and smash the mirrors and strangle the Camera Man.

you seem to find someone having a breakdown as entertainment, i also see that scabby is your favourite. The facts seem to be getting clearer by the day that scabby has a small band of weirdos as followers.

DrunkerThanMoses 23-07-2010 10:59 AM

Give the guy a break, the guy gets tired from all the bitching he does all day, fell for the guy why dont you, he needs his strength to bitch about everyone behind their back.

What was the cause of the rant?

They originally made some noise at about 12.45am. Come 3.45am he had been up, whinged for a while in the garden where the others had moved to, then was still whingeing loudly when all tried to retire about 3.15am

Not sure ben knew exactly what BB entails,as he thought it had reception rooms etc,he is not in bed all the time, all he asks if for a decent kip,and rachael WAS a bliddy pest, last night along with Dave, and as he said the nest would be a good place to mess about or any of the other rooms,if they don't want to sleep, why go in the room, and I've said before,Steve told them off and they all shut up,so why cant they do the same for Ben and Corin?

Exactly, they know they are being out of order they just don't have respect for Ben's feeling.
I'm on the road a lot with my band and we share dorms all the time. We party into the wee small hours but the only way that it works (in the room and for other paying customers of the establishment) is if you have respect one another.

He was not asleep - they all went together to bedroom at approx midnight. He started wingeing so they moved first to lounge then ultimately to garden. HE FOLLOWED THEM OUT TO CONTINUE HIS MARATHOM WHINGE THEN FOLLOWED THEM BACK IN AT THE END OF THE EVENING AND CARRIED ON

That is not truthful and you know it - no jumping on beds had taken place that night

As Visage suggested tho, the effete queen would just give -up after 15 minutes

Livia 23-07-2010 11:56 AM

It's a bedroom. If they want to make a noise, go outside the bedroom. Making a noise in the bedroom while people are trying to sleep - especially as he's asked them very nicely to shut up - is really ill-mannered.
