The initial line up I thought was poor from the get go, I dont know why, didnt feel that impressed by anybody apart from Sunshine and Mario (cant stand him now, Moley task worked in his favour and thats it), however I did get into it, not the best of starts like previous series but it was good.

Then week 3 stole Sunshine and Shabby from us and I dont think the series has risen past its entertainment level since they have gone. It picked up again when the newbies went in, but only slightly, then further when Caoimhe - John James - Josie love triangle started, and then she walked and were just stuffed with JJJ again, which went right down hill, and with the news of Keeley not returning I was also gutted.

Now we'll see if this batch of newbies can raise BB's game, I personally think they could, though a twist with them would have been nice.

I actully really like this series, but your so right about the dead wood comment, I just really hope these new housemates bring something new. I just want the All-Star series to start now :|

The newbies have defenitley got the fun element back with games.... and Jo is very outspoken too.

3/4 of your favourites gone OP (in your sig) - sheds some light on this I guess.

It's very easy to forget how dire BB4, 9 and 10 were... NOTHING happened. At all. Ever. They struggled to fill an hour of highlights each night and eventually gut it down to 50 minutes.

BB11 has been the most watchable in years (I'm sorry but BB8/9 and 10 was FULL of negativity and nasty, monotonous people...) with many people who gave up on BB coming back to watch because the 'characters' are relatebale and 'real'. Just because it isn't a massive gang of freaks doesn't mean it's the worst.

I just think people should YouTube whole H/L shows of BB4, you'd change your minds then.

This is like BB1-3 quality, sometimes I hate BB5, 6 & 7 for creating "Freak BB" which people seem to hang on to so much.

I thought BB10 was great. It lulled in the middle but it had so much entertainment with Bea, Lisa and co, The rise and fall of Freddie, and then Marcus, as well as Tom entering and telling Sophie all about Kris etc. I thought it was a great series that is underlooked.

My faves are gone yes but it doesn't mean I can't appreciate a good series, this just imo, isn't one :/

BB9 suffered more towards the end, like every series of BB does when the HM numbers dwindle. Particularly BB7, and even the shorter BB3.

I agree with the 'Freak BB'. BB5 was still fairly 'normal' albeit the HMs were more diverse in sexuality and ethnicity and so it appeared a giant leap out of the traditional mostly hetrosexual British HMs from BBs 1-4. BB6 was when every single HM had a 'character' based from their audition VTs. Makosi was billed as an African Princess, Anthony a 1970s disco dancer, and even Vanessa - the most boring HM that series - was portrayed as an exciteable flirt in her VT

This is a good thread and there are many valid points, most of which I agree with.

I'd also like to say the people involved in making BB shouldn't be working in television. They haven't a clue.
