There is no use sugar coating it partly the reason why aid is so slow to the country is due to the background.

Take for example the Haiti earthquake this year. Haiti is a rather small , quiet and politically stable country in the world and it had far more quicker aid delivered then the current floods.

If this was to happen in another middle easten country like Iraq would it still be any different?

Compared to other countries Haiti's government isnt in the news as much as countries in the middle east.
