Yeah they defiantly have been auto tuned. I think its terrible they have done that!

Shaun 22-08-2010 03:21 PM

WOT? THE X FACTOR IS FAKE? WOT?

omg

Jords 22-08-2010 03:21 PM

It goes against the whole point of the show to find somebody who can SING!

Im gonna carry on watching the show but do find it wrong that some of the auditions are auto tuned. I really do hope that the live shows are not.

Well pretty much everyone knew it was fake but auto-tuning auditions is a step too far.

Jordan. 22-08-2010 03:24 PM

It made them sound even worse tbh.

arista 22-08-2010 04:43 PM

No Shaun Not Fake
but getting Hi Tech Help to get the Voice in its best pitch.
That is Cheating
Utter Fact.

Vicky (Mod ) on here,
does not need that box
She can sing good enough.

BB_Eye 22-08-2010 04:54 PM

It's not as if it enhances their voices either. It's actually really horrible to listen to

InOne 22-08-2010 06:05 PM

Yeah heard about this, was quite suprised. Hopefully this means the winner will bomb.

aliacid 22-08-2010 11:33 PM

A spokesman for The X Factor, while not admitting the "autotune" charge, conceded that post-production work was necessary because the show used 48 microphones. It was, he said, for the viewers' benefit and such sound techniques employed were "all quite usual". Furthermore, it did not affect the judge's decision.

"The judges make their decisions at the audition stage based on what they hear on the day, live in the arena," he said. "The footage and sound is then edited and dubbed into a finished programme, to deliver the most entertaining experience possible for viewers."

Their not even denying it.

Yeah it was noticeable on her performance too, Gamu is her name. It was also noticeable on some parts of Katie's performance.

On the last woman who sang, it was pretty obvious. You could hear the notes change as she was singing them.

Jase 23-08-2010 03:38 AM

I noticed it too, its a talent show not a programme for pro's.

Wildcat! 23-08-2010 03:47 AM

Wholly craap!! Thats disgraceful! They have lost all the credibility they had left with that one!
What a rip off!
Makes you wonder how bad the crop of talent they got this year!

The Statement put out by the X Factor Office (GMTV, Radio5)
say it was recorded Live , UnCut first.
Then after they dubbed in the Auto Tune Box to improve all the sounds.

At least they admit it now.

They claim that on the Voting Live Shows
No Auto Tune is used.

That's not the point. We don't base our favourites on what we see in the finals alone. Why are they trying to manipulate their voices? Wait, don't answer that. We all know why...

xDramatick 23-08-2010 11:10 AM

I can't believe they did this.
