Why do people get scared of clowns?

I've never partiuclarly liked them and don't find them funny, but actually scared of them? :conf:

I think clown fear is mostly from movies and stuff like 'It', Poltergeist, Joker from Batman, etc. But some kids just don't dig the costumed adults and have bad childhood experiences.

I don't really get it, either. A lot of it is BS, I think. It's like mimes: I can understand hating them, but fear?

Yeh just when they think of a great idea they take it away in just a snap of their fingers.. wouldn't want to scare the precious hm to much now would we! :(.. what happend to evil BB? :(
