So Shay Given is going to be a bench warmer for the rest of the season? That's a bloody disgrace.

He's gonna have to fight for his place fair and square, Hart's in the best form by about a mile.

Hart's doing brilliantly, but Shay Given is one of the best keepers in the country and would be on basically any other Premiership starting 11.

He was dropped just because of his age and the fact that Hart is one for the future, nothing more. It's very sad when a player of his quality has to sit out for the rest of the season when so many clubs are dying to have him.

I do agree he shouldn't be on the bench as he's a top keeper, but as he's behind Hart in the pecking order at Man City I'm shocked he didn't hand in a transfer request... Arsenal are in desperate need of a top keeper as well, I'm suprised they didn't come in for him as their chase of Mark Schwarzer was clearly failing lol

1 He's overated, hes a great keeper but too many people make out like hes the best keeper in the world.

Shay is great yes but hes not the best, and so many people say he is the best that yes he is overated.

Commontators are so pro given, Shot straight at a keeper they say easy take for the keeper, shot straight at given and the commontators going world class save! simply amazing from given!.. and it just is bull, so many people i know agree. lol.
