To be honest I really hope it is BS but I'm afraid it's not.

I think your source may well be in deep sh!t if this was an embargoed Press Release!

Jase. 09-09-2010 07:46 PM

Nothing official, so this thread might aswell be deleted.

Jack_ 09-09-2010 07:47 PM

Yeah, I thought this would be the case, sadly. They seem to have really been playing on the 'last ever' thing the last few days, when for the last few weeks they haven't mentioned it at all, and if they have if it was 'the last ever on C4'...

Some of the sadness was taken away by the fact that it might return next year [albeit probably worse], but getting the news that it won't be returning this close to the end is just awful and would be really, really disappointing. I somehow hope it isn't the case...but I think it is.

Do you think I don't know that? I was in 2 minds whether to put this thread on but I'll never reveal the source so they have no worries.

Well said.

They have been emphasizing the 'EVER' part ALOT  And yeah, the whole build up and the UBB thing has been like 'Yah whatever' for alot of weeks because we're like 'It'll be back on Channel Five' but IF this random poster IS telling the truth it basically means we've all been slapped on the face with about 24 hours to go until the last ever episode and we've all just been told 'LOL No seriously, this is the last ever Big Brother'

Not a very trustworthy thing to do... if it is true. And if they told you, they told other people. Very professional. Again, if it's true.

Callum 09-09-2010 07:53 PM

Probably not true, I hope it takes a long break though.

Agree... I'm really hoping this is made official soon because it was given in confidence and on a bit of a guilt trip now.

Jamietwo 09-09-2010 08:04 PM

oh good , i wouldn't want to see endemol do it again, it needs a whole new production team, more risk taking and alcohol

BBfan46 09-09-2010 08:07 PM

It's like our titanic has just set course for the iceberg :(

bigbrothermaniac008 09-09-2010 08:08 PM

I think there're joking to get everyone worried.

It's Endemol's show, I doubt if they would ever sell the rights to another programme maker, the show's too big for that to happen.

Jesus Christ.

You do know Endemol OWN BIG BROTHER, AROUND THE WORLD.

They decide what goes, Jesus.
It's Channel 4 that's became PC, Endemol would love the show to go on that's why they offered C4 another contract to which those dicks turned down.

You really need to get your facts right, NO ONE would ever buy Big Brother off Endemol to produce it.
A Broadcaster could air it, but no one can decide they will take the Big Brother programme off it's daddy Endemol.

SocietyIsRuined 09-09-2010 08:09 PM

If it has to end then it has to end. Endemol should be ashamed of themselves for the last 5 years.

Um..

Big Brother 6, Big Brother 7, Big Brother 9, Big Brother 10 and Big Brother 11 were very good series.

Stop talking out your arse.

Big Brother 6 & 7 yes, the rest are the most awful things to ever appear on television. BB11 was awful beyond belief. Ultimate BB was its shining light.

Big Brother 10 & 9 were dreadful, not even worthy of being called Big Brother. The golden years were BB1 - BB7. Anything after that apart from UBB were utter crap.

Different Format and A New Name?

Then it's hardly Big Brother at all, you wouldn't watch it or know it's meant to be Big Brother if it's got a new name and a new format.

Big Brother 9 and 10 are VERY VERY under rated especially Series 9, UBB hasn't even been that good either it's been such a let down as the ratings show.

I fully expected the nation to be buzzing with UBB and the ratings to be brilliant but no.. Infact BB11 got more love than this little 2 week series which I am highly shocked at lol

Mike888 is living proof if you post enough piss poor made up crap some of it has to be right! only 2 weeks ago he made this thread about his "inside info" claiming c5 had bought it and were just waiting to announce it :crazy::crazy:

Who cares about the ratings? Big Brother 9 and 10 are not underrated, the series peaked at BB7. Ultimate BB is a closure to what BB8, BB9, BB10 and BB11 were. The tweenies have taken over and it shows.

Can't see where he claimed that it was a "done deal".

"Richard Desmond owner of The Daily Star and now Five tv is expected to make an announcement shortly that Five will be screening the next series of Big Brother.

It's about 90% certain that Five tv will take over the show next year following talks with Endemol. If all goes according to plan the announcement is planned to coincide with the finish of Ultimate Big Brother."

Certainly seems that it WON'T be coinciding with the end of UBB! which lends a bit of credence to today's thread!
