Beastie 20-09-2010 12:50 AM

Well we have like the orange top or the purple top at the moment. Which is in between skimmed and semi skimmed. lol

Orange and purple tops? I'm intrigued by this freaky milk of which you speak

InOne 20-09-2010 01:08 AM

Mostly semi skimmed, but sometimes full fat

Actually I prefer the Channel Islands or Jersey milk, now there is a full fat taste treat!

lostalex 20-09-2010 12:04 PM

I don't buy milk anymore. Since i've lived alone, everytime i've bought milk, it goes bad before i can finish it. Total waste.

I prefer 2% milk though, when/if i do have it.

I hate milk so I don't drink it on it's own, just in tea etc. so It doesn't bother me too much which kind it is.

I've got Semi! :D

I prefer something creamy, and occationally use full fat. Never Skimmed milk, thats like water, not good for a creamy hot chocolate :D

Tom 20-09-2010 02:21 PM

Blue for food and green for tea

They don't sell anything less than a half-gallon at my local store. It's ridiculous.

I'm a semi skimmed man.

Photon 20-09-2010 07:54 PM

Our designations are different in the US.

UK: Full Fat (Blue) US: Whole (Red)
UK: Semi Skimmed (Green) US: 2% (Blue)
UK: Skimmed (Red) US: Skim Milk (Pale Blue)

Some brands over here are marked with white? I'm not sure which ones use that designation, but I'll check next time.

I drink Full Fat/Whole Milk, because I exercise enough that it's not a problem.

That's interesting, so basically red and blue are reversed accross the board between Uk and US.

The colours are also reversed politically. In the US Red represents Conservatives, and Blue represents Liberals. I understand it's the opposite in the UK.

Snaked Worm 20-09-2010 09:51 PM

semi skimmed but i used to love the sterilised milk that used to come in a glass bottle with a crown top i havent seen that for years.
