Boys: Stanislas, Frederic, Oleg and Ivan.
Girls: Elena, Estefania, Elephantisha (lol).

I'm very influenced by my Russian heritages and a bit of Italian too. The only French name that I like is Frederic. It sounds amazing for a boy.

As for Elephantisha...lmao

The name Finn always makes me think of fish. :S

Lee. 27-09-2010 07:36 PM

Yeah I like Jacob too.. and Isaac. I would have called my little boy James or John but don't like Jim , Jimmy or Jock which they would have become living in Scotland! I also liked Dominic but everbody told me I was just hormonal/insane so it kinda put me off.. Anyway.. I deceided on Samuel for boychild eventually

I don't really like any girls names and struggled naming my daughter.. eventually we came up with Lara which I love but there's not a lot that I'm keen on

Lucy. 27-09-2010 07:45 PM

Ohh yeah and I like Charlie for a girl or boy too

Lee. 29-09-2010 01:48 PM

I know somebody who has just called their baby Lettice... well I don't know them personally, but I know Lettice's uncle!
I don't know yet if it is pronounced the same way as "lettuce" or if it's Lettees?
I thought it was a made up name but apparently it is Gaelic (?)

Z 29-09-2010 01:58 PM

I would only name my children traditional names; such as Elizabeth or William, it's just not in my nature to accept people with made up or unconventional names... one of my friends from Uni is called Bean, for example, it puzzles me how parents can give their child such a bizarre name, she has to repeat herself every time she gets introduced to someone because they can't quite believe what they just heard. I don't plan on having kids so I've never really thought about names, but yeah it'd be a traditional name. I was originally going to be named Reg(inald) after my grandfather but my mum thought that was a cruel name to give a child of the 90s, so they stuck a G on the front haha!

Bean?? You're joking? That's the name on her birth certificat?! But that's nothing short of cruel!!

Another thing that parents seem to forget is initials. I know of someone who's children (not kids now) are called P.Ness and his sister is A.Ness.. That is not a joke by the way!! Completely true!!

Beastie 29-09-2010 02:02 PM

I like Henry and Kevin for boys. I also like William too eventhough it is a bit of a common name.

Henry is my favourite boy's name though!! :D

For girls.. it is harder to think of a name.. probably because there is so much choice!
I quite like Olivia! :)

Yeah! She has a double barrelled first name, Bean is one of them; on her driving licence and everything! Oh and don't get me started on initials, mine are GMP... gimp!!! Ugh, nice planning!!

Ohh.. yeah I'd forgotten about that.I love Olivia. My friends three girls are called Rowan, Amber and Olivia and i alway think they all have such lovely names. Seeing as she is a good name picker, I asked her to think of a good name for my daughter... she came up with Willow. Eh no!

I personally like the names Matt, Simon and Anthony for boys, and Rachel for girls. Concurrently, Matt is the name of my BBUS favorite. Anthony and Rachel are two of my BBUK favorites. Although BB had no significance to my liking of these names - what if it unconsciously did? Also, Matt, Simon and Rachel all happen to be names of Jewish decent (I'm unsure about the name Anthony). I think reflecting upon all this is very intriguing. What about you lot?

Bless you Raph! To be honest.. I do go off names if a person I don't like has that name. Sometimes your name reflects on the person? mmmmmm.
