On Ch4 and Ch4HD 9PM Tonight

2 episodes
Ends at 11PM.

Locke. 22-10-2010 07:19 PM

Forgot it was on tonight, have already watched these two episodes but will watch them again anyway.

arista 22-10-2010 08:01 PM

On Ch4 now

Shaun 22-10-2010 10:38 PM

That was pretty interesting - missed a few bits because I had to tidy up, but I've got it recorded.

Locke. 22-10-2010 10:47 PM

It's not doing that great ratings-wise in the US but its network have ordered a full season of it now, so we'll be getting at least 22 episodes (they had planned to do 13 at first).

Lee. 23-10-2010 10:37 PM

****, **** and bollocks!! I've just checked an I only recorded the first episode last night! Anyone know if they're both repeated before next Friday??

Yes E4 & E4HD Tuesday 10pm to 12Midnight

So you want the 11pm to 12Midnight episode.

The Event

Did anyone else watch The Event on channel 4 on Friday? - I'm gripped already, though the time shifts are a bit confusing. Apparently it runs for 6 series so we don't get to find out what "The Event" is until series 6! It might just be the programme to replace Lost for which I'm still suffering withdrawal symptoms:sad:

Niamh. 24-10-2010 03:57 PM

haven't seen it, what's it about? Dexter is a good one to get into if you haven't seen it already

Hi Angus :)

Yeah I'm missing Lost too and think this will be a good replacement.. Only recorded the bloody first episode on Friday though.. didn't know there was two!! It's repeated on Tuesday though, so I'll watch then...

So, you were quite impressed with the first two yeah?

(obviously don't say TOO much )

Locke. 24-10-2010 04:02 PM

Its had a good start, but I'm guessing it will be cancelled after its first season because it's not doing great with the ratings in the US. The acting is pretty good too, but the President just seems like a poor man's David Palmer (from 24), to me.

I recorded it kind of half heartedly cos I liked the synopsis, and only watched them today - and am now hooked. It's a bit like Lost meets Alias meets Roswell - I'm not giving anything away by telling you that aliens are involved!

You can watch now on 4oD. I think I'll be in for the long haul.

It looks really promising so I hope they don't cancel it like they did with Surface and Invasion, both of which were excellent but only lasted one season! Not to mention Dark Angel which only lasted two seasons and Tru Calling which I think lasted one and a half!

I might give the first ep. a shot tonight actually. I'll let you know what I think :)

Yes, I absolutely love Dexter - what a great concept - a serial killer with a moral compass!

I bought the first two series on DVD so I've still got some catching up to do. Haven't seen Breaking Bad - what's that about? If it's on Sky I'll have to download it.

the first 2 Dexters are brilliant, series 2 is my favourite so far

I watch breaking bad online cos I don't have sky either. It's about a guy (played by the dad from Malcolm in the Middle) who gets lung cancer, he's a chemistry teacher and is worried about money for his medical bills and his family if he dies so he starts cooking crystal meth to try and earn some extra cash. It's really good

It sounds interesting - will download it by my usual method - limewire! Is it still on series 1?
