Aww now that I thought about Pedro again I had to youtube him again. He was so lovely, so beautiful and healthy looking when they first went to the house. I guess that's why I still remember it so vividly because it shocked me. At that time aswell everyone was still afraid of AIDS and what you could or could not do and Pedro "humanized" it. RIP PEdro.

His housemates of the show talking about him.

The show Sounds depressing but it really wasn't. It wasn't all about Pedro. there were so many elements to the show that made it fun, real and fantastic.

There was already a UK version, years ago, of The Real World but it wasn't called that. It was shown on the BBC and was set in a student house.

Yeah it did quite well I seem to remember.
That was the UK first reality show.

In regards to TRWs ratings, you have to remember that each show is repeated about 10 times in the following week so people don't necessarily tune in for the first time a particular episode is being shown. I think it averages about 10m+ per week and in its prime it was getting something like 50m+ per week.

That's true, only the hardcore fans tune in for the first showing. And sometimes it's repeated even more than 10 times a week. Sometimes they'll show it twice a day or even 3 times in some cases (morning, afternoon, and evening).

still so raw and heartbreaking. :( I will never forget that face. His courage broke my heart. I don't know if I would have his courage to keep living and teach others if I had the disease.

How long ago was the clip above? His ex lover looks like Darren from BB

k im saying 2 mil. is low for america!!! usa and canada have way more people in it then england. the big brother here gets ratings ranging from 7-9 mil. so 2 mil. is nothing compared to that.

Well you're comparing the ratings of a show on Channel 5 to the ratings of a show on MTV. MTV's cable. Once you get outside of CBS/NBC/FOX/ABC/CW, ratings drop since it becomes cable.

And Ithinkiloveyoutoo, Pedro's season was the third season, not the first, just saying.

I'd like to see the viewing figures for each night. 18 months is far too long.

That's weird considering there are only 6m people in the UK.

If there are only 6 million people in the UK, how does X Factor sometimes achieve over 10 million viewers?

i think the real world/RR challenge actually gets better ratings than the actual normal Real World seasons now, doesn't it?

The Real World was the ORIGINAL reality show though. There would be no big brother if not for the Real World.

Could be interesting, it's better than nothing at all I suppose!
