This is not about the charts this - as Simon will smugly remind us - is a talent contest.

How is it clear Cher and Katie have a passion for music? Surely if they had a passion they'd have been more ready for their performances at Cheryls house. In fact I think the opposite is true. Their lack of preparation shows a lack of respect for music. As a hip hop fan, Cher trying to wing it and write hip hop verses angered me more than I've let on on this forum. A true music lover would never have messed up like they did.,

Sade is an artist who made stylised music for her fans that worked, She wrote her ow songs and developed a following. She does her own thing. She didnt enter a 'talent ' contest.

Gamu should have got through ,she was by far the BEST singer,imo Cheryl is in Chers corner just because she is like her(or so they say)Cheryl loves herself,so she will make sure her 'look a like' gets the best songs etc.both Cher and Katie(the blonde one) BOTH messed up ,I think the malaria must have got to Cheryls pea brain!!

Well, as far I am concerned, Cheryl had the strongest talent but has put the weakest,excluding Rebecca from that, through to the finals.
Cheryl has just made a mockery of having the judges houses for the main testing of the acts.
I think jedward fever and others have a point as to her reasoning of who she did not put through, quite astonishing that 2 acts that came nowhere near finishing their songs or performing well either,went through over others who put their all into their performance.
Cheryl has weakened her category massively and I hope Louis in particular will point that out at every chance he gets,that she put the weaker acts through from a strong category overall.

Cheryl was lucky last year,she has failed the show, the viewers and the good acts she had this year in who she has put through. Cher already looks a nervous wreck, for goodness sake.

I'm not apologising for being happy that Cher is through, she messed up but I can't drum up the enthusiasm to be outraged that Gamu isn't through when there were others I preferred;).

At the end of the day you've got to ask yourself... Why is someone with no talent judging people with much more talent?

Think Cheryl was right to put Cher through, but I would have picked Gamu or Treyc over Katie. Think Katie may be first to get the boot, don't rate her much.

What a silly thing to say. The very idea that you need to have a great voice yourself to judge others is so bogus. We all have ears an opinions. And following your logic NONE of the judges should be there. Indeed most judges on most talent shows all over the world shouldnt be there!

Cheryl came from these TV talent shows. In that respect she is more qualified than all the judges because she knows exactly how they are feeling and what it takes to succeed. She has also tasted huge success in both a group AND a solo artist. She knows the business and what they will be required to do...all the hard work, all the media crap. EVERYTHING.

So piss off with all this "she isnt qualified" BS. She most certainly is....far more so than Louis or even Simon. They are just 2 middle aged business men with the musical taste of 2 middle aged women. Cheryl knows more about whats current and what is in the charts.

Both Simon and Louis have had MANY failed acts. Louis has been dining out on Boyzone and Westlife(both huge covers acts) for over 10 years. Until talent shows gave him more acts to manage he struggled to have any other successes. Thats the truth of it.

Cheryl LIVES the business. She does what the winning acts will be doing. She lives the life they will be living. The singing part is a small part of it all actually. Mostly its about travelling, interviews, photoshoots, rehearsals and dealing with media nonsense.

Simon and Louis just sit around making most decisions by phone and letting their choreographers and producers etc do the real job of making the music and creating the performances. Again, they are businessmen. They have zero creativity and don't understand it from the artists perspective. Cheryl does.

maybe she wants to eliminate any competition (which would wipe out most of the population). I can't get my head round her choosing someone who's voice was obviously strained over Gamu who sang effortlessly. If nothing else it would have been kinder to Cher to have her try again say next year. I am starting to detest Cheryl Twitty as much as Katie Price - both fame hungry wh**e's

Cheryl is a disaster, she only won last year by pure luck at A - Having a good singer in her group and B - having no real competition.

besides Joe last year who did she choose??? I rest my case.

Louis did wonders with Jedward, who lets face it, have no talent. That shows how good he is at his job.

LOL. I think youll find that it was the team he has of voice coaches and choreographers that put those performances together. Not him.

And they were effing awful anyways. No accounting for why people vote for such crap but its nothing to do with Louis!

But solo singers do not need lots of gimmicks and choreography like crap chancers Jedward did. Thats where choreographers really take the control.

No but he did pick Jedward to go through and I'm sure he had a say in and approved things. He did his job which was pick the acts who would do the best in the competition. Cheryl did not last year and did not this year.

Don't be ridiculous, Cheryl got the best category the last 2 years, that's why she won. last year she picked Lloyd and Ricky(was that his name) when she could have had 3 great acts she only had 1 because of her picking 2 useless acts. On the otherhand louis for the second year in a row got groups which never do well, regardless of who is mentoring them, even still he managed to get 2 very successful groups both years

Cheryl won it past two years regardless of anything. She cant achieve more than that. So to try and twist it into a negative is futile and desperate.

And JLS were a ready made polished act. Ready to go. And Jedward are complete flop as a musical commodity. In fact, Id stake my life that a huge amount of money has been lost through their attempts at a music career. Which is why Louis has had to take them down the TV reality personality route. Now theyre just z-list TV cattle.

Cheryl won the last 2 years because she had the best category, nothing at all to do with her personally imo. I'm not twisting anything, she won because she had Alexandra and Joe and the other acts weren't good enough. Again this year she was handed the best category but she's really messed up in her choices............again, she may get away with it again because she has Rebecca.
