Claymores 16-10-2010 04:09 PM

No most of the time ''Harry''is for me anyway. My mum only calls Harry cat when there is chicken or prawns for the cats tea.

Ian my cats are about 3/4 years old, they are from the same litter.

No, there is a small platform below the window and ground floor roofs to jump onto from the left or right so it is perfecty safe.

Claymores 16-10-2010 04:29 PM

Yeah I remembered they were brother and sister H, just couldn't remember age. Are you not worried he falls all the way from your window ledge????

Silly story - when I was a student I was living on the top floor (roof/attic flat) of an old building in Edinburgh 6 storeys up. I was looking after my brother & sister-in-law's cat in my place while they were on a big extended holiday.

The windows in my attic bedroom overlooked the roofs of the other buildings in the block, and I used to keep the windows open a little for fresh air.

One day she (Becca the cat) managed to push the window catch open and walk onto the roofs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in such a panic in case she tried to jump down from 6 storeys up in the middle of a historic city...........what would I tell my brother, and what if she landed on a tourist and killed them!!!!!!!!!

It took me 45 minutes to get her back in with much coaxing. I locked the windows after that!

EDIT - just seen your above post

Great pic H

OK. Our view is massive so I have stitched together several pictures of the right side backgarden view. From my bedroom, towards the back garden.

On the left side there is a quarry. As you can see from the picture, which is taken right side - we are surrounded by fields.

It is a massive file so I've just had to re-size it to a much smaller size. If I didn't then it would have taken me so long to upload it.

:)
