It wouldn't be surprised that with how long it's took to make that it ends up being **** tbh, or never comes out like Final Fantasy Versus lol.

King Gizzard 22-11-2012 11:11 PM

the premiere's tonight, swear this wasn't out for another year :suspect:

King Gizzard 22-11-2012 11:12 PM

there is a new 8 minute trailer but that just seems stupid so I can't be bothered

The hobbit

lots of mixed reviews so far, looks like most agree its good but not great and too long butt here is hope for next one being better,
i think the 2nd one will be the make or break if it sucks the 3rd will be doomed. hopefully it will be great,
anyone actually seen it yet here ?

my preciousssssssssss

Niamh. 11-12-2012 12:44 PM

Oh No not yet, I'm looking forward to seeing it though, I loved LOTRs

Locke. 11-12-2012 01:26 PM

Hoping to see it when it comes out here on thursday

InOne 13-12-2012 08:33 PM

Apparently it's a real grind to watch. 2 Hours 49 Mins :o

I read the Hobbit years ago and can't remember much about the story. But it was definitely aimed more at kids. I'm probably going to see it on Christmas Eve though so hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

Marc 13-12-2012 08:34 PM

Is it going to be split into 3 films?

King Gizzard 13-12-2012 08:39 PM

and apparently nothing much happens in the first hour of it but Cameron just wanted to keep it as close to the book as he could and just drag it out

I still can't get past the fact that most of the characters look the same and you can pretty much tell they're wearing make-up or whatever you call it

Marsh. 13-12-2012 08:48 PM

I'm surprised it's so long considering they're stretching it over 3 films.

Sounds like overindulgence.

Smithy 23-12-2012 12:10 AM

Saw it last week, think a lot of the first hour was really unnecessary and that

Spoiler:

The eagles could have flown them to the mountain and saved us on another 2 films

:laugh2:

I liked the first hour, you kinda get to know all the characters and you get to see what Bilbo is like.

I enjoyed it all, loved seeing Galadriel back.

 that's what I said too, still loved it though

I just watched this on Netflix, I actually enjoyed it more than Lord of the Rings. I didn't mind the first hour just being the start of the adventure, Fellowship of the Ring was pretty much the same, it helps establish all of the characters.
