oh i must not have seen that 1 where Michelle was in the boardroom sorry Tom

x-heather-x 30-04-2006 01:22 AM

I really like Ruth. I want her to win. she's the most genuine. Ansell is alright but i think Ruth deserves to win much more.

Dan_ 30-04-2006 12:36 PM

Ruth has been about the best person so far and I hope she win's with Ansell coming second.

Paul had better go next week, I cannot stand him any longer.

BigSister 30-04-2006 03:40 PM

yeah Paul and Michelle i would like to see go next week

Pipergun 30-04-2006 04:19 PM

I'm in agreement with all three of you! :spin2: (Heather, Dan and Becca!)

BigSister 30-04-2006 04:23 PM

well more Michelle than Paul but his dancing last week annoyed me,

Pipergun 30-04-2006 04:26 PM

Yep - it was like the typical "Dad at a wedding".

My only reservation on Ruth is that in the clips for next week, she's admitted to lying when in interviews, and although it hasn't been properly put into context, that's something I'd never dream of doing, and makes me wonder how reliable she would be as a result??

BigSister 30-04-2006 04:28 PM

true true but she has been consistant every week and i feel she should go through
 Yeah it was, but isnt Anselle too quiet at least Paul has made an effort and like Michelle has sneaked under the radar

Pipergun 30-04-2006 04:58 PM

I think you're right Becca - Ansell and Michelle have't really been PM enough to shove themselves into the limelight and show what they're capable of, compared to Paul and Ruth who have more memorably been at the forefront of the tasks. Still, it's often impossible to predict SAS's slant on things!

It seems stupid to say this now, but when the series first started, I invisiged Karen to be one of the final remaining candidates, and in my view her departure was SAS's biggest mistake this series - she had lots of potential Imo. What do you think? :puzzled:

BigSister 30-04-2006 05:22 PM

well I didnt see Karen so i cant really comment. My big mistake was getting into it half way, Jos departure was the first 1 i saw

James 30-04-2006 05:23 PM

Yes, I don't think Karen deserved to be fired either.

I hope Paul doesn't get the job because I think he has made quite a lot of mistakes, as well as doing some good things.

Even in the first episode he had trouble converting pounds to kilograms, and he admitted that numbers wasn't his strength. I'd have thought that was a fairly big limitation at the top level of business!

However what makes this reality show different from the others is that the public isn't involved. It's entirely one person's decision and SAS will choose the candidate he likes the most and thinks can work for him best.

BigSister 30-04-2006 05:30 PM

thats a very good factor James :hello:

Pipergun 03-05-2006 11:29 PM

I've just watched the show, and it's very late/early :spin2:, so I'll be brief in my opinions on this week's episode:

There has been quite a surprising turnaround in my thoughts this week, which I didn't expect

Firstly, Paul diserved to be fired first: his interviews were dire, and being full of his own self-importance just assisted his own downfall!

However, I believe Ruth should have been fired instead of Ansell - her brash attitude and tendency to "bend" the truth is likely to get some people's backs up.

The main argument against Ansell was his lack of experience aside from sales: as he himself mentioned, "The Apprentice" isn't supposed to be the finished article, so I don't understand why SAS didn't realise he could teach him about some of the other factors involved? :nono:

Overall, I find it surprising to say this, but I think and hope that Michelle will become SAS's Apprentice: she has shown that she has the correct attitude, grit and determination that is required, and although she often hasn't lead on the sales front, as I previously stated, she is not the "finished article" and could easily pick these abilities up through the rest of her working career! :bouncy:

Go on, Michelle!

James 04-05-2006 09:49 AM

Definately the right decision to fire Paul. Michelle going through, I can understand now, given how apparently successful she is self-employed.

I think Ruth should win, and she will, but SAS did seem to favour Michelle in last night's show.

BigSister 04-05-2006 10:28 AM

I really want Ruth to win on the basis of I cannot stand Michelle she just annoys me but again I didnt see last nights show so my views may differ after seeing it on Tuesday

Corkie 04-05-2006 05:31 PM

i like paul at a stage but watched it yesterday and he was so cocky i thought it was going to be ruth who got fired im upset but ansel all of them said he was a nice guy but i think all he was being was a buisness man

michelle to win

BB-Rocks 04-05-2006 05:35 PM

I think Michelle is fantastic. She's got a really creative and fairly logical mind. She's one of the youngest but far stronger than some of the candidates.
Guess I was right about Michelle. Although I have really changed my mind about Ruth. I think she is a really strong contestant and is the strongest sales-person there by far.

Well done to both of them for making the final. I cannot wait to see who comes out on top tonight.

Pipergun 10-05-2006 03:16 PM

I can't believe it's been on our screens for 12 weeks!

I'm still rooting for Michelle, but I wouldn't mind if Ruth won: she's very strong and determined, I just feel sorry for her husband!!

Lance 10-05-2006 03:49 PM

LOL, Tom!

Her second name is Badger, I find that rather amusing. I also pity her husband, it's clear who wears the trousers in that relationship.

Pipergun 10-05-2006 04:06 PM

Lol! Badger does seem scarily appropriate!!

It's quite ironic, I know it's a feeble source, but my mother of all people (you know what they're like for gossiping!) has heard a rumour that Ruth was married, but since the show has, to be discrete, swung the other way! :spin: I wonder which one she is....... I wonder.......:laugh:

James 10-05-2006 06:20 PM

Celebrity Apprentice being planned for Comic Relief - http://media.guardian.co.uk/site/sto...771554,00.html

I think the Badger should win, and she will. SAS seemed to make Michelle favourite last week but I think when it comes to offering the job Ruth will get it. Also Nick and Margaret prefer Ruth I think.

There's a version of the US Apprentice starting on Discovery Home and Health channel tonight at 10:30pm if anyone's interested. Not the Trump version, another one.

Pipergun 10-05-2006 06:28 PM

I agree with you James, in that Ruth is favoured by Margaret and Nick, and although still favouring Michelle, I believe that Ruth's still more likely to be offered the job! :spin:

Although public opinion plays no part, its interesting to see the BBC's poll "Who Should Win?" Here, currently gives:

Michelle: 64.1%
Ruth: 35.9%

(At the time of posting)

...... All shall be revealed! :spin:

Pipergun 10-05-2006 07:57 PM

We'll soon know who's won! :spin:

Anyone who hasn't watched before, now's the time to tune into BBC 2 at 9pm!
