Sprechen Sie mit mir in Deutsch jederzeit möglich. I can't guarantee I can talk back to you though. :joker:

I'm in disbelief the amount of times I read FB entries, forum posts from people who can't spell very basic words, and don't know the difference between words that sound the same or very similar:

ie:- There, their, they're.
Of, off.
Using, 'Should of', instead of, 'Should have'.

A great deal of intelligent people who simply have no concept of the English language in it's most basic form written form. Don't get me wrong, we're all guilty of typing too fast, making little typos but I'm being specific to clearly not understanding the difference in words - which words to use when.

I had to laugh at one of my FB contacts, holds a very senior position in work. He posted and was slagging off the girls from Essex for their bimbo-like status, ripping them to shreds about their lack of intelligence.

In different posts, he used the words, 'They're / there / their', and not once did he use them correctly. Ironic to say the least, funnier though was watching his mates posting the same type of thing - ridiculing these Essex girl types for being thick when these idiots couldn't differentiate between a few simply words themselves.

It doesn't annoy me but I never fail to be astounded at how many people display such ignorance to their own language!:conf:

Sorry what were you saying there?

That should be its, not it's.

It would be good to at least know the basic stuff yourself before you start moaning at others. :)

The "then" and "than" is the worst, it obviously doesn't fit in comparing something saying "then"...

Stacey as well should be two separate words.

It isn't a word spelt 'aswell''.

It also annoys me when people don't put a space after a comma. There's one member on here who's particularly guilty of that :nono:

I wasn't moaning at others. I was merely posting my views. ;)

I see you didn't read the words immediately after the part you bolded! I didn't say I (or anyone else) was perfect. I was referring quite specifically (in that post) about spelling...
:D

As I mentioned a few posts back, if you are going to be overly smart, make sure you are completely beyond reproach. There should be a 'comma' in your first sentence.

Jords 04-12-2010 03:38 PM

I really dont care, you should just concentrate on your own spellings!

That's clearly a keyboard error. It's not quite in the same league.

For the record, your first sentence is incorrect in so many ways.

Your second is incorrect in at least 3 ways.

See, I can be a pedant too. :joker:
